Do you wash your hair daily? If not, how often?

In the summer it's usually every other day, the rest of the year I can go 3 days. On day 3 I use dry shampoo and tease it into a pony tail.

Yes. No brand of dry shampoo really freshens my hair. I hate washing and drying it, but it really looks best freshly washed.

I did every third day for awhile, but realized that no matter what I did my hair looked greasy and felt terrible on day 3. This was after months of the schedule. Now I'm back to every other day, and my hair feels a looks a lot better.

I wash every other day, sometimes every 3 days. I've yet to find a dry shampoo that doesn't make my hair feel dirty and weighed down.

I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I use dry shampoo in between washings.

I do 2-3 times a week most of the time unless I've been in the pool. I have to wash the chlorine out right away. Lately, it's been more since we've been swimming a lot. I use Alterna Caviar Dry Shampoo if I'm not washing. I'll put it in at night and just brush my hair and go in the morning. Alterna's Dry Shampoo is the only one that doesn't weigh my hair down, nor does it make it feel dirty. Corn starch will work if I'm out of Alterna, but my Alterna is over a year old with a ton left. I find that you get what you pay for with hair products.

If I wear it curly I'll use Batiste dry shampoo. If straight each morning that I don't wash it I use Redken Guts 10 at the roots, blast it with a hairdryer for a few seconds and then quickly restraighten.

I usually wear my hair up on the last day before washing anyway, so I don't worry about extra product that day.

I usually wash on Saturday morning, Monday night, and Wednesday night, unless something throws off my schedule . I use a little dry shampoo on day 2 and then more on day 3 (if there is one) and day 3 is always a high bun or ponytail day.

I use Alterna Bamboo dry shampoo and LOVE it. It is light and fresh smelling. I was using Suave before and found it too heavily scented. It also dried out my scalp and made it really flaky.

I actually shampoo every 3-4 days. if I'm wearing my hair straight, I use Suave dry shampoo starting on day 2. if I'm wearing my hair curly, I co-wash (as in, rinse, apply conditioner and let it sit for a couple of minutes, then rinse again) daily. my curly hair does not look good after it's been slept on hence daily co-wash.

I workout at night, so when I get home, I usually at least rinse it with water and then let it air dry to get the sweat out.

I've been trying to go 2 days between washings but it depends on how hard I work out at the gym. My hair gets really sweaty when I exercise. I washed it Sunday and right now, it is in a bun needing to be washed so I'll most likely wash it tonight after working out and again Friday night which will last through the weekend.

If I skipped a day, my hair would be a disgusting, ugly, smelly mess.

Not everyone sweats the same. Sweat =/= intensity of workout. Two people can reach the same intensity with the equivalent heart rate and such, yet one be drenched and the other only damp. Everyone is different.

I wash every day. My hair isn't too bad if I go a day in between but I love it to smell good and feel clean plus if my hair isn't perfectly clean then my whole body doesn't feel clean Also, I can't do the shower cap thing or whatever because my hair will frizz/curl right up in the shower and when it's not perfectly clean I can't straighten it or curl it for the life of me.

Also, I work out as well and become a drenched mess.

I wash my hair every 3-4 days. I use dry shampoo or baby powder. Lately I have been using baby powder. I sprinkle it lightly around my head, let it sit while I brush my teeth and then rub it in. It seems to work better than dry shampoo.

When I do my hair curly I can wait 5-6 days. One time I went a whole week. When it's curly it takes a week before it looks greasy. I guess I use too much product.

I've been washing my hair every 3 or 4 days. I do this because I dye my hair blonde and for awhile there, I was noticing a TON of breakage. Since I've started only washing every 3-4 days and primarily letting my hair air dry, I feel like my hair is in a lot better condition and the breakage has stopped.

I do use dry shampoo on the off days. I like oscar blandi.

I agree with this! I work out all the time and I work out hard. I just don't sweat that much! I've never sweat as much as other people.

I sweat a lot when I work out, but not so much on my scalp. I wear my hair in a super high ponytail when I work out as well. I just rinse the hair near my nape a bit as well as around my hairline when I wash my face, and I'm good to go, since that is where I sweat on my head. This usually "refresshes" my hair enough, and I can still smell my shampoo/conditioner from the day I washed it. On the day when I use dry shampoo, that gets rid of not only grease, but also smell. Plus, I'm usually wearing my hair up by that point, so its not like its wafting around in people's faces for them to smell it, lol.

I agree with this, too. I work out very intensely (I'm a CrossFitter and runner). I keep my hair pulled back into a high bun and pin my bangs back when I work out to keep it out of my face and off my neck. I use dry shampoo on my hairline to absorb any excess oil. Everyone is different!

I wash it twice a week. Usually Monday and Thursday night. I will wash on different days if I have to do something those nights and know I won't be home until late. I will use dry shampoo if I feel I need it lately it has been that bad.

Agreed and similar to Bimbi; I rinse the nape of my neck hairline after a sweaty workout. On average I'm currently working out 3-4 times a week and was my hair 2 or 3x's a week. I try to schedule my dirtiest hair day on my most intense workout day so I do wash that night/morning after.

If wearing my hair wavy, I can go 3 days with no issues. If wearing straight, I usually wear down the first two days and on day 3 I use dry shampoo (Oscar Blandi is my fav).
