Hindu wedding? DH's parents wanted to pull that "auspicious time" shit with us. No thanks, astrologer man! We haven't gotten divorced yet so I guess the gods were ultimately ok with the 6pm start time.

No, I don't think so? It seemed like a regular wedding, just that she wanted to do "unpredictable" things.
Like having a wedding with no guests??
Unpredictable!
Except, it is. When you have a wedding before the sun comes up.

One guest was not happy because she thought it'd be a "sunrise wedding" except after eating and the toast, it was already noon and people had to sit outside in the blazing sun for the ceremony.
WHAT. WAIT. OMFG.
The wedding started at 7:30 but the ceremony wasn't until NOON!?!?

Oh also. She was a morning person. That was her excuse
I was invited to a 9AM wedding which I thought was earrrrrlllyyyyy (but not as bad as 7:30!) and the bride's reasoning was that she always wanted to be a bride! And now she gets to be a bride for the wholeeeee day!
Im a morning person but i realize that a 7:30 am wedding would uh, be sparsely attended...as in I cannot imagine a groom attending
From photos it looked like quite a few showed. She had a breakfast reception. It just wasn't my cup of tea. And she wasn't the nicest person. So I declined my invite.
Truly, if it were my BFF I'd suck it up for her.
Newp. I'd laugh right in my BFF's face and say HAVE FUN, see you later in the day!
But I'm not friends with morning people, so that would never happen.

Hmmmmmm. Ok? Totally makes sense
The only plus I see to this is having the wedding done. Then maybe taking a nap, sex, then relax on the beach all day. Maybe?
We guessed they probably got a deal on the venue doing it that early, it was also on a Sunday. The reception was over by noon. We ate steak and asparagus at 10AM. It was just such a weird day. And hard to enjoy because you knew if you drank that early you'd be done for and pretty much everyone had work the next day.
The wedding I was in on a Monday was worse though. Hate weekday weddings. Hateeeee.

I would hate anyone that made me get up that early. But I guess the plus side is that it's over and done by noon. So you can still enjoy your Saturday. Rather then have a wedding take up your whole day.

7:30 am is insane. Getting married after the reception is even more so. If it's too early to make a polite phone call, it's too early to get married! I love the idea of a brunch reception, but you could still get married at 10 or 10:30 (even 11) and have a brunch reception. Also, brunch = mimosas and bloody Mary's. Otherwise it's just breakfast.

This is so stupid.
I get up at 4:30 for work and I would not attend a 7:30 wedding. People are dumb.
