I changed my fb profile pic yesterday because I found a pic from a year ago I liked. (Probs a mistake in hindsight!) I've been battling with a 15 ish lb weight gain since then, but have recently done pretty well!! I was on the phone with H and he was all, baby you're doing so well with your healthy eating! In fact, that pic you posted today was so hot, you look like the old Lauren again ;( Ugh, I guess if that's not motivation, nothing is.
I get where this would sting a bit, but clearly that's what he thinks you look like.
Yeah, you would think I guess. He's just not the observant type though. Like I could wear new clothes or change my hair etc and I typically have to point it out lol. Thank you though. heart
I can see how you would be hurt, but I don't think he meant it like that at all. I think he was trying to encourage and compliment you in a weird man way.

Agreed. I actually think it was pretty sweet. He also may see a happier you in that picture compared to how you may project yourself right now. Don't get down about it. You have a supportive H. Keep working on your goals. You'll get there.
I think your being a little too hard in yourself. I mean, you liked the picture and made it a profile pic. Take the complement. You're allowed to like the picture AND yourself as you are right now. Really.
You're setting him up for failure here, and setting yourself up for hurt feelings and misdirected offense. If any of your FB friends compliment you on your pretty "new" profile picture, are you going to feel hurt and offended? If so, then maybe you should change the picture. Most people are probably going to assume a profile pic is current without really thinking about it.
Yeah, I mean I wasn't necessarily upset with him as much as it was a reality check, kwim?
I totally get what you mean. It's tough. I had many "wake up" moments like that for a while; but it took me a while to be in the right mental state and find the help I needed to start something for real.
