Dancing with my dad was one of the best moments I've ever had. I cried the whole time, of course lol. But he held on to my hands and was smiling during the girls' songs.
Near the end, my older daughter wanted to join in the dance, so she held onto the wheelchair handles and kept telling me "mommy, don't cry. Pa is okay." I told her they were happy tears and she said "I'm happy too, because Pa loves his birthday." (heart)
My mom was so surprised with the video and the dance. She loved it! My brother and I also gave her a journal that we wrote together. It was all about my dad, with memories and stories we had since we were kids.
I didn't want it to end, but we couldn't keep it going too long since my dad gets overwhelmed after awhile. But it was such an amazing time and I will never forget it! One of the best days I've had in a really long time
