Mine isn't a big fan of the bump (she can't figure out how to snuggle with the darn thing!) but she LOVES the car seat/stroller.....
HA! That is awesome. My cat is constantly jumping in the crib (I removed her from it three times after she just kept jumping back in. She thought it was a game) but shows no interest in jumping in the bassinet that is in our room, or the car seat OR the rock and play. We think she believes that the nursery is her room and we finally put stuff in there for her to climb on/in!!

Exactly! Roxy thinks the nursery is for HER -- after all, everything in there is soft and plushy and kitty-sized. She loves the pack-n-play. Fortunately she hasn't figured out the RNP yet, or the changing table.
I'm HOPING that when the baby comes she'll want nothing to do with the baby's stuff, because it will probably smell weird. I'm not so worried about the carseat/stroller because it's not like we'll live the baby hanging out in there at home. I AM a little worried about the PNP because right now she makes a game of running up the stairs really fast and jumping straight into the PNP, and I worry that she'll do that when the baby is in there. I know I can keep the door closed if the baby's in there….I'm probably just being paranoid. She's not going to want anything to do with a loud smelly baby is she?

I've been meaning to go on the ASPCA website. Apparently, they have some tips about how to help your pet adjust to bringing a baby home. I just think we'll have to wait and see how she responds. She is a very friendly cat and loves to cuddle so I hope she realizes that she can't just keep jumping in the crib. We might have to do the balloon thing over the next few weeks so if we are in there setting things up and she jumps in, she gets a good scare and backs off!
I also think the crying might freak her out. I just hope it doesn't scare her too much. She really is our first born and I hope she adjusts well and doesn't get depressed about her new competition!

Love it!! My black &white kitty has been sleeping on my stomach for a while now. He just curls right up and purrs. We've been joking that it will be funny when the baby kicks him but now I'm thinking that he just puts her to sleep! Bonus, I won't have to buy a white noise machine, I can just put the cat in her crib (lol, kidding of course)

Smell probably won't have anything to do with it. If your baby cries for longer than 10 seconds ever your cat will probably make quick work of figuring out which things belong to baby and cutting a wide path to those things. I would still watch for kitty trying to lay or jump on the baby but the only baby item my cats have been in since A was born is the basket under the stroller. One of my cats likes to ride around in it. The other cat kept trying to sleep under the bouncy seat but has since learned his lesson.

this makes me all sad. My kitty used to do this with me when I was pregnant with DD, but we had to put her down last April (she was really sick) and none of my current kitties are tummy cuddlers.
