I read through the posts on the "What to Expect" apps community boards. On my birth month board (April) there have been babies being born on a daily basis starting weeks ago. Some people are just 3 weeks out at this point but I'm really surprised at how many of these people are delivering so early! Are premature births this common??? It doesn't seem to happen on this board very much.
I hope not. I'm already paranoid, because my friend just texted me to tell me she had a vivid dream that I had the baby, and she's been right before. And DH is about to leave the country for a week. I feel like I hear about premature birth/labor a lot online. I want my baby to stay put!

I'm also at that point! I have 5 weeks left but it's a bit scary knowing that anything could happen and I could go into labor soon. In fact, I called my mom yesterday and she said anytime I call, she'll wonder if it is "the call." Oh brother. I told her I'm not calling her at all then!! Haha
I'm due today, and I've been watching people in my month deliver babies left and right for the past month.... I've always been told first babies can be two weeks early or two weeks late...

My due date is the day after yours and I was at the doc this morning. We are just hoping he will stay put for 2 more weeks and get me to 37 weeks. I delivered at 37 weeks with my first as well. They have a mind of their own.
I post on the April board on TB (judge me), even though my due date was moved up to March 29th. I've noticed the same thing -- almost daily, somebody has a baby. Some of them have been twins, which are usually born early. Overall though, I think that as a percentage of the total number of people who post on that board, it's a really low percentage.
It's had me feeling a teensy bit jealous, but I stop myself because I know that we all WANT to go to full term and not go into labor early. I'm sure some of those ladies would have loved a few more weeks to let their babies develop before giving birth.

I think there are just more people on other sites so it seems like a larger number. Someone with an April 1 due date would already be 37 weeks so that is not that early.

This is what I was thinking too. There seems to be tons of people posting over there. Just thought it was interesting how many people deliver early!
