i am about 98% certain that's what i'm feeling but wanted to hear from some people who already know what is feels like to confirm my suspicions.
i've only felt it in the middle of the night when i'm shifting positions. it's a sharp pain running along one side of my stomach/uterus but it lingers for a bit, kind of like hitting your funny bone or a paper cut. sharp initial pain, then it takes a bit to fade out. based on my reading (mostly books, haven't yet dared to google) it seems like round ligament pain, but like i said, i want to hear from some people who have felt it before to make sure. with my anxiety-prone brain i think googling "sharp pain in uterus in second trimester" is a bad idea.
I have been feeling a sharp pain running along one side of my stomach at a time just above my hip. It is either side but one side at a time. It is a sharp initial pain, then it takes some time to fade out. I get it when shifting position while lying down. I have been feeling it since 21 weeks and discussed it with my doctor who indicated that the round ligaments are stretching and could be causing pain in those areas. She recommend a heating pad on a low setting if it is bothering me; but cautioned that I should not fall asleep with the heating pad.
I think I've been feeling it too, but usually when I've been walking for awhile at a good speed. I feel something akin to a stitch in my side, but lower down, running between my hip and my pubic bone.
I have something like this except it seems higher than RLP would be. I told my doctor about it the other day and she said it didn't sound like anything to be worried about.
thanks for all the input ladies! like i said i was 98% sure, but just wanted to check. i've been trying to move slowly when i change positions when i think of it, but i think it hits me at night most because i'm half asleep and not thinking to move slower.
Yep this sounds exactly like it to me--I started having it way early (I thought) around 8 or 9 weeks which I was surprised about. I feel it just like you described.
I was just wondering about this too. Is 15 weeks to early to feel it?
I am 14 weeks and have wondered the same. I get sharp pains in the low-abdomen/pelvis area when I stand up from sitting too long or when I sneeze. I'm assuming it's RLP but idk.
