A FB "friend" recently posted a link to this blog regarding Magic Mike. The John Wayne reference is cute and all...but clearly I'm going to hell cuz I like me some Channing Tatum gyrations, and I haven't even SEEN the movie yet.
Also I died at Cherry Limeades and Redbox rentals! Our version of that is Gin & Tonics and episodes of Weeds (or Mad Men, or some other probably harmful TV show).

I can't believe I made it through that whole post.
I liked the pictures of the men in her life with the sweet little captions, but could have done without the judgey commentary for the first 3/4ths of the post.
I saw Magic Mike and I have a husband that's at home making me dinner, so suck it lady!!
My opinion is that women like this are naive. I think that probably 90% of those men look at occasional porn or watch a movie about strippers. They just don't tell their wives because they would judge the hell out of them.
I'm a devout Christian and saw the movie! It was a horrible movie, but still thoroughly enjoyed it! I've seen comments made some of my friends on FB and a few articles and even my husband makes fun of them. People take things way to seriously!! Its a movie!! That's all it is!
A. The movie was awful...I wanted more nekkid Joe Manganiello! And thanks for including him in the gif lineup .
B. The "holier-than-thou" shit pisses me off. I saw the movie and do not love my H any less. Then again, we are a "sinful" couple who have watched porn and visited strip clubs together. That would probably make her head blow up.
If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. - Bruce Lee
I feel like people take this stuff way too seriously. I read a similar blog post on 50 shades of grey.
YES!! I had the unfortunate (though kind of amusing) privilege of listening to my 2 bosses talking about 50 shades and how people were freaking OUT about it. Both of my bosses are SUPER liberal and basically not bothered by anything, lol, so it was funny listening to them compare it to other, more "racy" things. It was such an inappropriate conversation for work, but those pretty much happen on the daily soooo...
I get the sentiment from where she is coming from, because the truth is, we should celebrate men for the things she listed.
But it is JUST a movie. Me seeing it does not mean that I respect my husband any less. And it does not take away me celebrating him for being the awesome husband and dad that he is. It just means that I saw a movie about strippers. Plain and simple.

:Y: :Y:
I'm not a fan of male strippers to begin with, so I have no interest in seeing the movie but its a movie. Yeah if it were about women it would be different but who cares. IF you like it go see, if not don't.

Don't people know that it is not possible to think about and enjoy sex while still being a kind, hardworking person? Giant ::eye-roll:: at this holier-than-thou shit. Considering that every third movie has some appearance by naked women it's about damn time that men return the favor.
