I have a feeling we're in for a no nap Sunday. DS figured out how to pull up to standing this morning in his crib. He is now trying to pull up on everything (me, the recliner, his jumperoo). Not sure how I'll convince him to stay lying down when it's nap time.
Also, I really wish I could pay someone to clothes shop for me. I went for a few hours last night and am reminded why I want a breast reduction after our next baby. None of the cute, fashionable stuff fits correctly because of these damn things.

I woke up with a sore throat and just feeling off. DH has taken H to the zoo and I'm sipping tea whilst watching HGTV. I think I'm going to nap soon, but being alone on a Sunday morning is bliss.
DS did something that can not be discussed for fear of jinxing it, but let's just say I needed less coffee than usual this morning.
I want to buy all DS's clothes new even though our family is 75% boys and I'm pretty sure he could subsist in handmedowns for years. But I have my own taste and I want all the nice clothes for him! Yuppie son stories, I know.

This sounds heavenly (minus the sore throat, obvi). I'm taking Friday off this week and still bringing DS to daycare. I plan to come back home and sleep, followed by childless Target wandering.
Mom moved in with us this week. Things have been going okay so far. She's less limited physically than I thought she would be, but still pretty limited. I haven't seen her this happy in decades. If I can manage to avoid watching too much TV with her (she complains out loud about lewd humor, and The Daily Show just raises her blood pressure) I think we'll get along just fine.
VCB has started "standing" unassisted for about 20-30 seconds.

After our usual Sunday morning rushing around we are in the car, all ready for church. My husband goes to start it and it doesn't start. He couldn't get it to jump off my car, so he had to pull the battery and run up to the autopart store.
We had a pretty busy day planned and now we are getting nothing done.

DS was awake around 5 this morning saying "uh oh, uh oh, uh oh" over and over. Yeah, I'd say 5am on a Sunday is a pretty big uh oh, kid. Luckily he eventually went back to sleep until 8:00!
We had some friends over last night. It was great. Definitely doing that again! We put DD to bed pretty close to her regular time and she's still sleeping at 10:30 this morning. Our friends 4 year old wore her out! DD just LOVED chasing after her, lol. I'm guessing we won't get much of a nap today but that's a-ok with me. So much fun.

We have some friends coming over today to meet DD. While I'm excited to see them, I kind of wish they would cancel. DH and I have errands to run, I need to do food prep for the week etc. I'm feeling so burned out from trying to sell our house, trying to get some stuff packed up and the fact that DH is not really ever here. Sent from my SGH-T399 using proboards
My kids are driving me fucking insane. DD1 is acting like the most rotten kid ever lately, and I can't stand it. She doesn't listen, she deliberately does things she knows she isn't allowed to do, and she has the sassiest mouth. DD2 is getting all of her molars in, and she follows me around all day screaming and pulling on my leg. OMFG. I can't anymore. I just can't.

This made me laugh. Glad you got extra snoozes too.
Yesterday was an awesome day. We had friends over for brunch. I made a quiche and it turned out fantastic. They made vanilla bean whipped cream (!!). And they were sweetly attentive to DD, who really warmed up to them.
Then DH, DD and I went on a walk in a park I've been wanting to show him for a long time. Saw deer, lots of squirrels, a blue jay and a rattlesnake. fromage says it's the time of year for them, but it's the first one I've seen outside of a zoo. He was at least 30 feet away so it was pretty cool. May they always be 30 feet away.
I hope today is another good day. I could really use two good ones in a row.
I am becoming an extreme couponer. I got all this for $7.32 today. My husband is embarrassed.
Why's he embarrassed? That's awesome. I have (slight) extreme couponer aspirations, but I don't really want to spend all of my time after the kids are in bed planning. Also we are pretty brand loyal for things like toothpaste, soap, conditioner, etc. and I never see extreme deals on our brands.
it was in the 70s yesterday and today there is snow on the ground. So we are sticking around the house and getting some projects done. DH is painting the ceiling in the basement. I need to put away laundry and get prepped for the week. I'm working M-Th which I think is the most consecutive days I've worked in over a year since I came back part time. Helping covering spring break for my co-workers with school aged kids. The money will be nice.
Just got home from mass and brunch. The kids were actually pretty good and I'm just putting the baby down for a nap. Then it's back to organizing the months of paperwork.
DH is starting to get into planning mode for Europe at the end of July. We'd like to just take the baby since it's going to be a quick trip, and insanely expensive as it is. We called his mom on the drive and I just get so irritated. She watches our nephew three days a week plus countless weekends while SIL dates and has for over five years. But whenever we ask for anything it's an immediate, "uh I don't know if that'll work." It's funny because we can't even remotely rely on my family for babysitting but I just get so pissed at the blatant unfairness between DH and his sister.

Great job! DH went with me to Target last week and between coupons, Cartwheel & my pharmacy/red card rewards I knocked $50 off the total. He is slightly less embarrassed now!

I only do it at CVS for personal/paper goods and soda. It's really not hard because there are so many blogs out there that break it down for you. Grocery coupons don't do much for me because we mostly buy produce, dairy, and meat.
We have an obscene amount of toothpaste but it's usually free or close to it. I'll probably donate a bunch soon.

I'll have to try some of those sites. The only thing I'm good at getting for almost free is my deodorant. I've done OK on diapers at BRU and I can usually get my conditioner for 1/2 price.
I am FINALLY going to yoga, hooray! I've missed it the last 3 weeks! First week DS wouldn't nap (class is during his nap), 2nd week I had a migraine, and last week I had the stomach flu from hell. I'm so glad to finally be going!

I like iheartcvs.com.
What's nice about CVS is that you can earn ExtraCare Bucks which are basically store gift certificates that you can use if you like a product that isn't on sale much.
We went to a carseat clinic yesterday to get our installation checked. They gave us some really obvious instructions ahead of time, like bring an installed carseat, but then while we were there two separate families showed up without a car seat. One family brought the infant bases, but not the seat, and the other family brought nothing at all. How do you hear clear instructions like "we are going to check the installation of your carseat" and then show up without one? Yikes.
This happened last year but people hadn't even taken car seats out if the boxes! The backlog was so bad, we could only get dh's car checked.

In the middle of the sermon during church today we could hear DS2 crying from the nursery - which is in the building next to the church, barely connected by one wall.
He was the only kid in there and hated being alone. Luckily we convinced DS1 to leave us in church and go play with his little brother.
This whole missing plane thing has me really freaked out.
Same here. H will get up in the middle of the night and check to see if there are any updates. I am not buying the pilot theory just yet. There is more to it.
A women at the bookstore commented on what a great walker M was for his age. It made me so happy given all the anxiety I had about him not walking.
I POAS today. It was negative, and I'm both relieved and sad. We'e not exactly ready to welcome #3 to our family, but if it happened we would be thrilled (and scared out of our minds). I've had crazy heartburn for the past two days, and I distinctly remember telling DH the night before we found I was pregnant with DD2 that I had heartburn and he said something like "when do you ever get heartburn?" and I replied "When I'm pregnant." I was right! When I told him I had heartburn today, he wanted to know if I had something else to tell him.
