I accidentally left my camera on the plane and didn't realize until the next morning. I filled out their online lost items form, but I have zero faith in humanity and am convinced that some sticky-fingered asshole is now taking pics of their vacation with my camera. :-(
I had pics of H's 30th birthday and DS's first time at the beach on there. I am so pissed.
Does anyone have any stories about getting their lost items back from the airline? I could use a little hope right now.
My wallet fell out during a vicious turn in an Irish cab. It had my passport and drivers license in it, everything basically.
I realized twenty minutes later in the grocery store.
I panicked, punched a wall, and we hailed a cab and went back to the city where my then-bf's cousins were still at the pub the cab had picked us up at.
All of a sudden I hear a honk, and the cabby is waving his arm out the window with my wallet in his hand.
PEOPLE ARE GOOD SOMETIMES and I hope you get your camera back.
There is a picture going around Facebook of a guy on a bike asking if anyone recognizes him because his camera and all his pictures of a European trip were found in Amsterdam. Nice people still exist!

My dad lost his phone on a cruise to Jamaica. Fell out of his pocket. He got home, ordered a new phone, and a couple of weeks later his old phone was in his mailbox.
I left my iphone at the mall play area last month and someone turned it into lost and found. I was pretty surprised and my faith in humanity was restored.

Ohhh, here's a good story for you!
Once, after we landed, I went to the bathroom and there was a purse in the stall. I took it out with me (worrying a bit that there was either a bomb in it or that someone would come screaming up to me that I was stealing it) and turned it into the service desk.
When I was home for the summer in college I must have gotten out of a car and dropped my wallet in the middle of the street. I used to have this thing where I only carried a wallet and not a purse. Some kind stranger found it and turned it in at the local train station's lost and found and then found my parent's phone number (pre-internet) and called them to tell them where it was. Everything was still there.
Another time I stayed in a hotel and left my glasses behind. They called me the next day and then mailed them out to me promptly.
There are nice people out there. I hope you find it.
A camera fell out of my purse once in a grocery store parking lot (it wasn't even mine - it belonged to the company I worked for). I couldn't find it and left my name with the customer service desk. They called me because someone turned it in. I hope you get it back!
I did crazy recon with the help of our old local board to figure out who a camera belonged to by looking at a picture of their family in front yard. You could see the house number and by using assessors photos online we figured out whose address the camera belonged and I was able to find phone number in book. Called and they meet up with dh at his work to get it. Kind of psycho but made me feel good to help someone out;) karma!!

They actually found that guy! I think there were a few news stories about it. Guy was really grateful!
I left my purse on the top of my car and it flew off going down the highway. a lady stopped, gathered it up, called my job from the paycheck she found in it, and called me before I knew it was missing. three hours later I found my camera sitting on the yellow line, Still fully operable.
