Blech. Tasted like flat orange soda. And having to drink it in 5 minutes wasn't fun. And I'm hungry. Sitting here at the doctor waiting for my appointment.
I had to do a three-hour glucose tolerance test 10 years ago for a hypoglycemia diagnosis. Not fun. I hope I pass my one-hour this time around and don't have to do that again!

Good Luck!
I had lemon-lime and it the whole process was't as bad as I thought. My doc did tell me to eat an egg though before the test, do I wasn't face with hunger. Just boredom.
I like the way my OB does it. YOu drink it at home 45 minutes before your appointment and then go see them. Hope your appointment went well!
That's smart and so much nicer! My midwife told me that until a few years ago they used to have people just eat a bunch of whatever their favorite candy was! That would have been awesome
Blech. I had orange too. My practice has you do the two hour test by default, though. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but even after I got food in my stomach, I felt like I'd just poisoned the baby with having the drink and nothing else in my stomach for so long...

This is how mine did it, so I was desperately trying to get the drink down before leaving home but had to take it in the car with me on the way to the doctor because it was just so sweet, I couldn't chug it all in the house. Luckily I didn't have to wait too long to get through my appointment and then have blood drawn - I did not like burping up orange soda flavor for the next several hours.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I didn't think it was that bad! I super rarely drink pop so I noticed the sweetness, but I felt fine afterward. Good thing since I had to do it twice (and was later dx with gestational diabetes)!
