I gained two pounds the first 20 weeks, and about eight between 20-24, eek. Haven't weighed myself this week yet - I'm skeered, lol. But my appetite seems to be waning again, so maybe it'll taper off again.
i haven't gained overall yet. i lost about 12 pounds in the first tri because of lack of appetite and only being able to handle smaller portions. i'm not yet back up to the weight i started at. i weigh myself about once a week at home and expect the number to jump up every week but it never has, still hovering around 4-6 pounds below where i started.
i've been back to eating normal foods since about 14 weeks and while i still stick to small portions because that's now what i'm accustomed too the actual food i eat is definitely not the healthiest. i dropped my usual splenda/artificial sweeteners for regular sugar and have been mostly drinking/using full fat dairy and i'm still not really gaining anything. i eat my fair share of fried foods, queso and chips and mac and cheese and i'm basically holding steady. it's seriously been revolutionary for a girl who is used to watching what she ate most of her life.
I gained immediately. I was actively losing weight before my BFP so I went from restricting calories to eating whatever would keep the queasiness away, which was mostly carbs. Now that the ms is mostly gone I'm eating better. I've gained about 5.5 lbs so far. I gained around 25 lbs with DS.
I lost weight in the first tri and was slightly above my prepregnancy weight around 20 weeks, I think. So I started to put weight back on after the first tri, but it took a bit to gain extra weight.
I gained 2 lbs in the first tri and have gained about 6-8 since! (I'm 16w2d) I was afraid I was gaining too fast but I blame Vegas at 14w and my bad eating. I've leveled out over the past week.
I weigh more at the doctor but doctor scales are never right. I'm tracking mine by my scale.
Seriously though, I maintained my weight during first tri and part of the way through second tri. It was the darndest thing since I was definitely getting bigger. At my last appointment (around 22w) I was up 6 lb. I KNOW that number is going to be a lot bigger when I go in for my appointment next week. My OB told me I was going to be a slow grower, so I prepared myself to see the weight (and stretch marks) pack on near the middle/end. I kinda wish I was more of a steady gainer, but I'm not losing sleep over it or anything.
In both my pregnancies I seem to follow the same pattern. ~10lbs per trimester
In the first tri my constant nausea is only helped by constant eating and I could only stomach somewhat unhealthy to horribly unhealthy foods. The second tri no more nausea just ravenous. Now I'm 34 weeks and I think I'm +28lbs so I will likely gain another 5 or 6 I suppose.
My appetite isn't as big in 3rd tri, just not as much room and the reflux is terrible if I eat too much.
I was underweight to begin. I started gaining at 10 weeks and have pretty steadily gained 4-5lbs every 4 weeks. As of 3 weeks ago at my 24 week appt I was up 18lbs.
I gained about 5 by 15 weeks. Since then I've gained an additional 8-9. I think most of it has come on in the last 4 weeks. I don't know if I'm in denial or what but I really don't think I'm bigger anywhere except belly though. Maybe a little in the thighs but not much. My hip measurement is the same.
I'm not sure exactly when I started, but I was up 4-5 pounds at the end of first tri. I was too sick to exercise and an empty stomach = sick, so I snacked constantly on crackers and bread for 8 weeks straight. Then I had a huge gain over the next six weeks, and as of right now I've gained 20. I really hope I'll be slowing down sometime soon.
This happened to me too in first tri. Plus (like you, from what I remember), I had a small frame to begin with, so I was up about 5 pounds by 12 weeks. I haven't weighed myself since though so I have no idea how much more I've gained.
