I went in for my NST this morning and my blood pressure was higher than the doc would like (on the high end of normal, but definitely high for me) and my swelling is really bad. She sent me to the hospital for labs and further monitoring - blood and blood pressure to see if I was developing preeclampsia. She said depending how those labs came back, we'd assess the risks and see if keeping the baby in longer was less risky than delivering now (I'll be 36 weeks Friday). Luckily the labs came back great and my blood pressure went down a bit in the hospital. I was having contractions 10 minutes apart but at this point they said unless they hit 3 minutes apart and stay that way for an hour they aren't worried.
But, in an attempt to get my crazy swelling down and keep my blood pressure at an acceptable level, I was pulled from work. I'm not on full in bed all day rest. I've been told it's ok to walk around a little to stretch out and stuff but I need to take regular rest breaks all day and lay down.
Any entertaining reading or netflix materials to recommend?

I'm sorry! I hope things go back to normal fast. Any chance the bed rest won't last?
I suggest binge watching: House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Breaking Bad. There are some good documentaries that were nominated for Academy Awards also on Netflix. Kinda dark and deep, but good. I like rewatching old episodes of favorite tv shows like The Office (season 3 is the best).

Bed rest will be for the duration. I delivered at 37 weeks with DS, and it sounds like at this point the doc just wants me to get to that point next Friday and re-evaluate.
You are close! Hope your baby stays put a little longer and you get some relief! On the fun topic of shows, have you watched Orange is the New black, or House of Cards? What about any of the AMC shows, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, etc?
All the recommended shows are great (I think there was a thread about this just recently too you could reference), two shows not mentioned that I loved as well are Friday Night Lights and Felicity. Also, I just started watching Drop Dead Diva, and it's super cute. All three are on Netflix.
That stinks. On the bright side, at least you're near the end.
I just finished binge-watching Veronica Mars for the hundredth time, and I recently added Orphan Black to my watch list. I'm getting more into the AMC/BBC shows these days. Oh, and the USA shows. Those are some hidden gems.
