1. How much weight did you lose in the first week post partum? I gained about 45 lbs total and lost 20 lbs the first week.
2. If you did get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, how long did it take you after the baby was born? I didn't really try to lose the rest of the weight until DD1 was 7 months old at which point was I still 14 lbs up, but I kicked my exercise and diet into high gear at 7 months PP, and lost the 14 lbs by 9 months PP.
I gained about 40 lbs with my first pregnancy. I avoided the scale postpartum for several weeks. I was so swollen from my c-section, my milk was coming in, I just didn't need to see any numbers because at that point it just DID NOT matter.
I can say that by 3 months PP I was in my original clothes with no problems, my pre-pregnancy weight (within at least 5 lbs) and continued to lose weight with breast feeding for another 3-6 months after that. And that was without trying.
I gained 28 lbs last time. Lost everything but maybe 5 lbs within 2 weeks or so of giving birth. I gained 5 lbs back when I went back to work and was sitting all day though ? It wasn't the weight that bothered me but the shape of my body was just different. It's more about being comfortable in my clothes than the # on the scale.

I'm so bad at remembering this stuff.
I know I was back fairly quickly - back in pre-preg jeans within 4 weeks. Regular work clothes at 6 weeks when I went back. And I kept losing throughout the year with bf'ing.
I used a belly binder thing to help stuff stay in place afterwards and I think it helped.

1. I don't remember 2. I didn't fit back into my pre-preg pants until he was 7 months. I did not do anything to try to lose the weight. I gained 40 lbs.
I gained 28 pounds last pregnancy and I was only 4 pounds up a week after giving birth.
I never ever went back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I developed PPD and I coped with it by eating chocolate and giving up real food. I was eating 4-5 chocolate slabs a day, plus 2-3 packets of chocolate digestives (a type of cookie)every day. The weight piled on even though I was breastfeeding. I have never lost the weight. I tried. I have lost some of it 3 times in 6 years, but basically I am still almost 60 pounds more than I was pre-pregnancy (first time).
I gained 22lbs with my 1st. Lost 5lbs post partum.
I lost the rest of my pregnancy weight by 7 weeks pp.
Then I gained most of it back within two months by upping my calories in an attempt to boost my milk supply. It didn't work for my supply, and I ended up carrying the extra weight for 2 years.

1. How much weight did you lose in the first week post partum? I gained!!! I was so incredibly swollen after my c-section.
2. If you did get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, how long did it take you after the baby was born? I was back by 4 weeks pp, but I didn't gain a lot of weight. I didn't weigh myself between 1 week pp and 4 weeks pp. However, my body shape changed and I never got back down to my pregnancy size.
