What do baby hiccups feel like?

A couple times in the past week I have gotten this rhythmic tapping/pulse feeling. It feels like he is lightly kicking but in the same spot rhythmically. It doesn't seem like he could keep a rhythm for 5 minutes while kicking. Is this what hiccups feel like?

Yep, probably hiccups. It felt like a pulse when I was first feeling it, too. Now it's more recognizable as hiccups, because i can feel his little body moving.

Sounds like hiccups! Cute at first. Until it's the fourth night in a row the itty bitty gets hiccups at 3 am.

Ah pregnancy.

I told my husband that the baby was hiccuping and he said "babies don't hiccup!" LOL

bricco---I will gladly share! Baby girl gets them all the time and they seem to last forever.

At first I thought it was kind of cute, now not so much.

This is me too! Occasionally I'll feel like 2 or 3 kicks in a row in the same spot but I doubt they are hiccups because there are only 2 or 3.

Yep, that's hiccups! For a while I thought it was a vein pulsing in my uterus that I just felt when the baby moved a certain way. It wasn't until I happened to be at the OB for an appt that I found out it was hiccups-he was doing it as the OB was listening to his HB and as I was about to ask her about the pulsing feeling she was like "You hear that? He's got the hiccups!". And I realized there was a sound going at the same time as the pulsing. Ha!

bricco, AJ had the hiccups a shitton (like 2-3x/day) but a lot of my friends have said their babies didn't have them at all or if they did they were positioned in a way that the mom didn't feel it. Don't worry about it!
