I'm looking for a new shampoo and conditioner. I've used Aveda's color care for many years and am tired of it (plus I no longer color my hair). I have long wavy hair that tends to be dry (I sometimes straighten, sometimes curl).
I'm getting my haircut on Friday at an Aveda salon and I'll ask my stylist for recs but thought I'd check here first!
Are you looking specifically for Aveda product recs?? I used to use Aveda (various collections) and stopped because it was damaging my hair. I do love the smell though!
I've been using their Brilliance line and so far so good. I also use the smooth infusion before I use any of my heat tools. Also, my hair stylist recommended putting the brilliance conditioner in on dry hair, as long as possible, before going in to wash it. I wonder if I could sleep with it in.
My dh really loves the fragrance of Aveda products (I think they smell ok), so I thought I'd go back to Aveda for awhile. I've been trying other brands lately, but I haven't found one that I love. Most drugstore brands dry my hair out (even the Everpure line), so I prefer salon brands. I'm currently using Kiehl's Olive Oil Nourishing something or other and I like it, but I only have a small sample bottle. I may end up getting a full size of it instead of Aveda.

The only Aveda product I use and love is the Clove shampoo. I think it may be hard to find now, but I have a huge bottle that's taking me forever to get through. Love the smell.
Everything else I have from there is just "meh" so I usually get a cheaper alternative.
