Heartburn issues? I've always had reflux and my Dr. said Zantac is perfectly fine to take.
I, too, use to guzzle Pepto like it was water pre-pregnancy. I've hot tried the Zantac yet (too lazy to go to the store so I'm just dealing with the reflux) and I hope it works as well as it's suppose to.
ETA: I use to drink so much Pepto that I actually LIKE the flavor. I crave it sometimes. The feeling of it coating my esophagus is heavenly....
I never had love for the liquid, but I never went anywhere without the chewables. Much more discreet, anyway.
If it's one problem, my office says Immodium AD and Kaopectate are ok. For the other, Colace, Citrucel, FiberCon, Metamucil, Milk of Magnesia, Hydrocil, Dulcolax suppositories. Hope this helps the poops.

Omg nu uh, I had no idea immodium was allowed.
Nuh huh! If it's long term poops, you might want to call though.
Pepto not allowed? Today my midwife said it's fine! ?
It is in FDA category C for 1st and second tri, D for 3rd. It's known to cross the placenta as well. Of course everyone has their own comfort levels, but I won't use anything higher than B, so pepto is out for me. After someone else mentioned it here, I read that Immodium is Cat B for all trimesters and doea not cross the placenta. Yay! Good to have in the arsenal wheb things get intolerable.
