DS is DYING for one.
Not realistically, I'd love to buy a new fridge. However, we're leaving it when we move into a new house (whenever we sell ours) so I'm not replacing it. The knobs for the water & ice dispenser broke and then the ice dispenser thing rusted out, so it was tossed.
I'd buy a storage piece for our office. H has so much crap piled up in the office and I'm dying to get it organized in a piece of furniture. I want the one that matches the desk and file cabinets we already have - and it's on clearance. It's still $1200, so slightly over $1000. I think I'm actually going to buy it since it's on clearance, and if we ever want a matching piece, we better buy it now while it's still available.
blackout cellular shades for our bedroom. I just got a quote for $385 for each window in our bedroom and there are 3 windows, not even big ones either. I'm going to have to go with something much cheaper, but those ones did have a nice look and feel to them.
Me too. I think it's really only a matter of time before ours die. The washer sounds like it's about to take flight and the dryer spits up stuff onto some of our clothes...
Window treatments for all the bedrooms and the lowest level and/or backsplash/new kitchen counters/new cabinet pulls...or however much of that I could get out of $1000.

I can't PIP because we haven't chosen anything specific yet, but I would put the money towards one of the following:
1. New bedroom furniture 2. Sectional for the living room 3. New side tables for the basement seating area and living room 4. Guest room furniture 5. Random decor items
We moved in 2 weeks ago. Our entire back of the house is nothing but sliders. And of course, not standard size sliders. Extra high and extra wide sliding glass doors. Previous owners had ikea track-panels for a good number of the sliders. They are completely see-through. I feel like I am living in a fish bowl. Ugh. I need my privacy!!!!
New mattress set, preferably Tempur-Pedic (though that would put me over the $1k limit). We share a double bed, our mattress is totally shot, and we don't have room for a larger bed. I think that a Tempur-Pedic might minimize the amount of bouncing I get from DH being such a restless sleeper.

OMG I need those. I didn't know something like that existed.
I also have regular blinds on my wishlist for our house. We still have those craptastic metal miniblinds. We got a quote 2 years ago to replace all of them and it came out to just a smidge over $1000.

Whoa, those are pretty! I had no clue something like that existed. I want some!
