I just had. (And yes, I'm being a post ho today.) (A po' ho, maybe?)
Anyway. The set-up: the second round of the program I'm directing started two days ago. They have an assignment for Friday that involves watching a video tutorial. The video was posted to the website, but we know that some people didn't/couldn't watch it before they got here, so we're showing it after class tonight for anyone who wants to watch it. I made an announcement this morning that basically said exactly what I just typed.
So. The conversation. Someone asked when we were showing the video, and I said, "right after this class." His neighbor (whom I will call Doofus) jumps in.
Doofus: Is this the same one that's on the website? Me: Yes. Doofus: So we're supposed to sit here and watch it if we already did? Me: ...no. Some people couldn't watch it before they got here, so we're going to sho... Doofus (interrupts): But is it the same one on the website? (Edited: oops said video at first). Me: ... yeeeees?
What I wanted to yell, "No, it's not! I magically changed the content of it in the three seconds since you first asked that question-- surprise!"
I then went back to my laptop to send an email to my husband that said, "I'm starting to be concerned that maybe I fell, hit my head, and started speaking Esperanto and didn't realize it. Is this email in English?"

There's 78 people in this class. I don't think a single one of them have paid attention to a word I've said when I've explained things.
Yesterday, we had a walking tour scheduled, so I told people to take 10 minutes for a bio break and to grab some water, to come back to the classroom, and then we'd split them up. 15 minutes later, I was wondering where the hell they all were. Instead of coming back to the classroom, they went and stood out in the rotunda waiting.
