My google skills aren't helping with this one and I don't see my OB til Thursday...
Anyone in their 3rd tri experiencing pain in their toes? I know you can get carpal tunnel in fingers - my fingers are fine. But I have one that kills me when I walk. I guess I could have stubbed it but I can't remember if I did and it doesn't hurt to touch - only when I walk, as if it is an angle/pressure thing...
anyone? sigh. I don't think it is about to fall off or anything, it just hurts and is annoying.
I know you can get a few different foot problems from pg. If its only when you are barefoot it might just be that you need more support. My feet felt like I was walking on gravel if I wasn't wearing at least flip flops - even around my house for 5 minutes. I would keep an eye on it for redness or swelling outside what your other toes are doing.
Upon further reflection, it isn't really my toes. I think it is foot pain - which is fairly common in pregnancy. It feels to be mostly in the area right in front of (behind?) my smallest 3 toes on my right foot. It could be relaxin, extra weight, bloating, all combined. I will wait til bebe comes before I freak out any further. I already spent an hour at the hospital last night because my little one wasn't moving enough (and then of course she moved a ton there...
I have this too. It feels like it is in my toes but then from pressing around the pain is actually in the ball of the foot right by the toe joints. Some kind of nerve thing I assume. It's my left foot.
I've been rolling my foot with a tennis ball and I think it helps. Also stretching the calves out and massaging/foam rolling calves and shins.
I get a pain like that on occasion when not pregnant...it is usually triggered by me walking barefoot on hard floors or wearing non-supportive shoes or high heels.
