I'm looking for a rug to go under my dining table. I have a condo with the living and dining areas side by side so I'm wanting a rug that works, and doesn't clash, with my existing living room rug. I think the living room rug makes enough of a statement so I'm looking for something a little less bold for the dining area. ETA: I have dark hardwood floors.
Here's the living room rug in a large size (something like 7ish by 9ish, also not my home pictured here).
Dining Rug Considerations (all 6' square):
#1 - leaning towards this the most
#2 - really like this, but think it might be too bold

I love your living room rug (Is that from wayfair?) I like number 1 the best out of these options. What kind of flooring do you have? I feel like that would look best on a darker hardwood, and my get lost on lighter flooring.
lavender444 Good question, I should've added in that I have dark hardwood floors. I got the living room rug from Overstock last summer. It was listed as "Microfiber Woven Harlow Ivory/ Onyx Rug."
Out of the three, #1 is the best option, but I'm not really feeling it with your existing living room rug. The only reason I not crazy about it is because the original (which I do love) is more contemporary than the potential DR rug.
For the existing pattern you have, you'll need to go with a larger pattern (which #1 meets), a smaller pattern, something in the same size that complements the original (like reverse coloring), or something solid.
munkii Thanks for the advice and links! What's funny is I have the 3rd option you linked (the moroccan cambridge black wool rug) in a 2x3 size in my hallway, haha! Great minds... ;-) I've also considered the Soho burst rug, as well. I was looking at it in a charcoal colorway earlier today. I'll add it to the original mix.
