1st - sorry for disappearing, I was traveling this week for work, and don't get a ton of time online when I'm traveling. I've been checking, but haven't had time to post.
Went in for my first u/s yesterday. One visible heartbeat, two sacs. I have to go back in in 10 days when the u/s tech is there to see if there is a second heartbeat. I'm 6.5 weeks, so the Dr. wasn't sure if it was too early, or if the second had already stopped growing.
This sounds really lame, but my brother/SIL had twins, and now I feel like we're "copying" them. I know it's not true, but I can't help it.
Also, the lab tech who did my b/w was awful. It hurt so much (and still hurts this morning).
i'm sorry the appointment was not great overall and about your conflicted feelings. i had a tech who did an awful job at bloodwork once and it was painful for a few days, that blows. hope that things look good at your next scan.
Yay for heartbeat! I hope it all works out. And I feel ya on the "copying". I have a cousin pg with twins right now (they also did IVF but no one in the fam knows, we went to the same Dr so that's why I know). I feel like I'll be compared to them but I have to just not care.

YAY for a heartbeat! I once had a blood draw that was so bad that I nearly passed out while I was in the office! The nurse hit something she shouldn't have and boy howdy did that hurt! I'm sorry you had a rough blood draw, hopefully you get someone better next time.
Don't worry about feeling like you're copying them, you didn't tell your body to have twins any more than she did . I can understand the feeling though.
Aw, yay seeing the heartbeat is such a special moment! 6.5 weeks might still be a little early to see the second heartbeat, but you should have a definite answer at your next u/s. Fingers crossed!
