My Sonicare is less than two years old and keeps turning itself on and off. Philips said it was out of warranty and refused to help, but they did offer me free shipping if I'd like to purchase another. No. I'll switch brands before I buy another crappy product.
I hated mine. Was too cheap to replace my sonic care heads, so I bought oral b instead. OMG after using sonic care it was awful. The oral b was hard in my teeth, barely cleaned well and was just plain awful. I bought replacement heads instead for my sonic care. Now I know better lol
I'll join the dissent and say that we hated our Oral B toothbrush. The round head is not anywhere near as effective as the Sonicare. My dentist noticed a significant difference in my plaque/tartar build up after switching to the Sonicare from the Oral B. I didn't tell them I had switched; they brought it up.

I've had the little $6 Oral B ones for years I've replaced the handle 3x in 14 years - the latest was 6 months ago (it does have change able heads 2 for ~$6), not the $$$ one. - I went in for my first cleaning in 18 months last week (I wasn't medically cleared) had gone through months of not being allowed to floss -- I had very little on my teeth. My dentist expected my teeth to be more of a mess post transplant.
