I have hypothyroidism. The baby relies on your thyroid during first trimester and therefore the numbers change. That is most likely what is going on and it can be treated with medication during the first trimester. Basically you would take a pill every morning, 30-60 minutes before you eat anything. You should be okay after first trimester is over. Good luck!
Mine was a little high before I got pg so have been on medicine for it. Now that I'm pg they upped my dose and I will get checked often for it. It's perfectly safe to be on while pregnant and your levels usually double I believe when pregnant so good that they are monitoring it.
And I'll stay on medicine my entire pregnancy. I take it first thing in the morning and it's a super small pill.

Pretty much the same story for me. My levels were normal before pregnancy, but I was diagnosed a few weeks in. They put me on Synthroid 50mcg per day and check my levels every couple of months.
It's one pill per day, taken at the same time every day, usually a few hours after you have last eaten and one hour before you eat again. I have an alarm set for 6am so j don't forget. Haven't had any problems or noticed any side effects. It's really no big deal, but I'm still crossing my fingers that I can be taken off of it when I deliver just because I don't like taking pills. LoL

Mine was high before PG and actually leveled out. I was taken off the pill at my 12 week appointment. I had been on the medication for over a year and its easy peasy. Thankfully the pill is tiny so I could actually get and keep it down unlike my PNV.
Yup! I'm on 50 mcg of Levothyroxine. I have to take it an hour before I eat, so I usually set my alarm an hour early, take it and then go back to sleep. I've had my TSH rechecked every 8 weeks or so, but the meds seem to have it under control. Initially, my TSH was like 3.49, and at my last check, probably a month ago, it was .88

I'm not hypo - my level when they checked it last was 0.07. LOL So I'm hyper. But my OB isn't concerned since I'm not symptomatic. They'll keep an eye on it, but hopefully it goes back to normal after baby is born.

I was put on Synthroid for the first tri (usually normal) and then during the 2nd trimester, I was regular and during the third, it swung the other way, so I was put on different medication.
I opted to see an endocrinologist and saw him every two weeks of my pregnancy for my bloodwork. It was probably overkill but I had an unexplained miscarriage of twins prior to that so they wanted to keep an eye on me.
