Even though open enrollment for the ACA closed on 3/31, losing your previous health care coverage counts as a qualifying life event, which makes you eligible to sign up now.
Wic, snap, childcare vouchers, utility and housing assistance - apply for anything you're eligible for. Jake makes too much for all but the childcare voucher and I got us on that list yesterday. (ps, I think it's funny that MA childcare prices are so high, their income requirements are looser, lol).
Is there a central MI office for all this? I called 211 and they ran through our options with me.
Was he offered a severance, continued benefits coverage, COBRA, or anything? Is he able to request one or at least file for unemployment? I'm so sorry.
