Unless you ate almost 20,000 calories yesterday, it's probably a combination of water weight/bloat. If you weigh again later and I'm sure it'll be back to normal.
When I was complaining about fast weight gain to my doc, she asked when the last time I went to the bathroom was. Lol
yeah most likely water weight. You might be able to flush it a bit if you keep up your water intake today and tomorrow and don't eat high sodium meals.
Million dollar question: When's the last time ya pooped?
I poop a little everyday and then have a megapoop once a week, sorry for the TMI. I am going to drink plenty of water today and see if that will help tomorrow.

I don't think you have to put a TMI disclaimer when someone asks you about your poo.
There is no possible way that one can gain an actual 5 pounds of real body weight overnight. It's almost certainly a combination of water weight/bloat, undigested food/urine in your bladder, clothes, and scale error.

Normal or not, I'm in the same boat. I could've cried when I saw how much weight I had gained in two weeks at my last appointment. I assume it's normal since the doctor didn't say anything, but it was definitely enough to make me want to drown my sorrows in a pint of B&Js.
