I just got my bfp, yesterday. I'm about 5 weeks pregnant. My first appointment isn't till 5/15. But I wanted to know where you started with your research, and what books do you recommend and all that buisness.

Congrats and welcome!
I enjoyed reading "panic free pregnancy" (recommended by someone here) for pregnancy advice, and I really enjoy Lucie's list for baby stuff and researching brands.
Congrats! I've just been reading the week by week things on the What to Expect website so far. I have a friend that just sent me her stack of books though, so I'll start reading through those soon. I know the Mayo Clinic book is in there.
I was here early too, my first apt isn't until 4/30. I just finished reading Expecting Better, which was recommended by some of the ladies here and I really enjoyed it.
I have quite a collection of books all over the house. For pregnancy guides, I liked The Mother Of All Pregnancy Books. I started reading Heading Home With Your Newborn last week and find it informative and easy to read. Eventually I'll re-read The Happiest Baby On The Block (which I read when my friend had a screaming infant and she was reading last year). Also, I like having a copy of Baby Bargains around. It's a little overwhelming in its entirety, but I use it to double check my registry picks.
Congratulations and welcome!!! I didn't read any books but I have a whole collection of apps on my phone. My favorites: what to expect and the pregnancy plus app. I seriously have 3/4 apps though on my phone...yes I went overboard and yes I use them all.

I haven't read any books, but it's probably a good idea to stay away from the Google. I have needlessly scared the shit out of myself reading some of the crap that's out there...
Oh and congrats! I was definitely here at 4 weeks. NO SHAME.
I am a huge reader, so I have read lots of books, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are one who will get overly anxious (I am not). I also try not to google random things because for every. single. question. you will find 50% saying one thing and 50% saying the exact opposite.
