I did not want to get out of bed this morning! I was so comfy, the sun was shining, I was nice and relaxed. Finally get up, go downstairs, and see that one of the cats puked in 6 different spot on the floor. Never a good way to start the day.
Got to bed late last night. We had to clean the house to start showings again today. Our machine is out of hot chocolate and I really don't want to do coffee. We'll see!
Sorry HoneySpider I know all well about waking up to cat puke DH and I like to joke about what our vet said once, "Nothing may be wrong necessarily....cats just puke."
Boo HoneySpider That is a horrible way to start the day. Praying it only gets better from here.
I also did not want to get out of bed this morning (even though I wasn't even in my own bed- stayed at my friends house last night). I'm feeling pretty tired and ready for this work day to be done. It's my Friday...I'm off tomorrow!!!
I totally forgot my yoga mat at home...I think my WFH day on Monday has totally thrown me off this week. It didn't compute in my brain that today would be Thurs and not Weds. I'm going to see if the instructor can bring another mat; if not, oh well.
I am so happy they put House on Netflix. I plan to binge watch it soon. Now if they can just add a few of my favorite crime shoes. Like Without a Trace and Criminal Minds I would be a happy girl.
Ugh HoneySpider, poor sick kitty! Hope it didn't take TOO long to clean up, and that the cat is better now.
I've been snuggling with my cat this morning.
I think I'll binge watch Scandal because I'm on Season 3 but only like 4 episodes in and it's getting hard to avoid spoilers!
One of the cats has a habit of eating way too fast and sometimes she pukes so I'm guessing it was her. I don't know how to get her to eat slower - it's not like she's starving or anything!
HoneySpider that is a rough start to a day! One of my cats does that too!
I was so tired yesterday I took a 2 hour nap and then fell asleep on the couch at like 9:00 and then went to bed and slept the rest of the night. I feel quite rested today!

Someone posted this on FB yesterday and it's killing me. Inspirational words/artwork are so not my thing (decor wise) and I find this hilarious. (And this is not meant to offend if this is your decor style.)
I slept really well last night and could have stayed in bed so much longer.
I ordered four pair of shoes yesterday, but at least two are going back. I ordered two pair in two sizes each because they are for our trip and I didn't want to get stuck with the wrong size.

That's hilarious! I hate word art too - at the last house I bought the owners had put tons of those word art stickers on the wall, you know, like "live, laugh, love", etc. I think I counted 24 of them in the entire house. What sucked was that peeling them off also peeled off paint.

Ugh!
...but at least it wasn't wallpaper?
Lol I probably would have just painted over wallpaper. I know it's a faux pas but I hated that house and knew I wouldn't be there long anyway.
bricco & kermit- we had a house full of wallpaper when we bought this house. We had it all down within a week or so, but it took a lot of work. Here are some pics, the carpet came out within 12 hrs in the house so just ignore it. Lol

None of the wallpaper in this house has been able to be painted on. One set of wallpaper, though, we DRYWALLED OVER because it wouldn't come down (but had so many seams that were peeling weirdly that we couldn't paint on it).
Other sets were super peely.
We had wallpaper in 7 rooms when we moved in. We're down to 2 now and only one of them is TRULY terrible left.
The kitchen in my first house had wallpaper and I tried to do the right thing and remove it but there were 5 layers, so that wasn't happening. It wasn't completely even but I did kind of a faux finish glaze over it so you couldn't tell. I've toyed with the idea of putting wallpaper somewhere but I don't want to have to remove it someday when I get tired of it. I really like the paintable wallpaper though.

Ugh. But you know back in the day it was awesome.
Ya, we bought the house in 2012, and it had never been updated since it was built in 1973. We had a purple toilet and a purple tub.

I'm wearing my Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital shirt today :Y:
In my current house, the kitchen has wallpaper that was painted over. Some of it is peeled off, and there is paneling behind it. Ugh. So much terrible on one wall.
I found out today that my counselor was in DH's cousins wedding. Weird. She has met my MIL in passing. She told me this today because she realized it on FB last night.

That carpet reminds me of this cat. lol.
Does that cat have dreadlocks? I feel kinda bad for it. you know that fur has to be heavy. Though the cat looks like he's used to carrying around extra weight.

Not sure lol...I googled "coat fur after washing it" because that is what the carpet reminded me of...like you know when you have a hood with fur and it gets wet and just mats together? And this guy showed up! He was cooler than the coats and jackets in google images
kermit, it's hard to tell but the walls were the same color as the toilet and tub as well. I'm not sure why the tub upstairs is purple and the toilet is white and the downstairs toilet is purple. Maybe they wanted to spread the purple? Lol

I should show H the pics of the purple bathtub. This is our guest bathroom and he thinks I overdid it on the purple. Now I have leverage!
awick14 I've definitely never seen that before! Funny thing is one of our state colleges' colors are purple and white so I could see someone buying a house around here with purple fixtures and leaving them. Not me!
I do kinda think brighter/darker colors would look cool, like red. Maybe not though. I love pink so I like those old bathrooms with pink fixtures and pink/black tile.
Here is the upgrades to the two bathrooms. (The one with the shower curtain rod is upstairs and it's not done yet. The other is downstairs and will be part of the rental suite)

awick14 great updates. We only had to take down a wallpaper boarder in our current house (thank GOD!). Now just don't get me started on how much work it was to paint the basement burgundy and gold for H's favorite team. Luckily I told him that is your room, you do the work. LOL. It actually worked.
Thanx we have no idea what to do for the floor upstairs so we have just left it for now. We also kinda abandoned looking once we decided that we wanted to put a suite in the basement because that will bring us money each month.
You can't tell by the picture but we don't actually have a shower curtain up in the bathroom, only a liner in there because we don't know what color to get the curtain in. It will all depend on what color the counter top and the flooring is going to be.
I just finished my certification exam. Took just under two hours. I'm waiting for my friend to finish her exam so we can celebrate with lunch. Score get posted on my birthday so hopefully that's a sign that I did well.
