I posted this on Multiples on the Other Side, and will probably XP it elsewhere, but you all know I always come home to this group, so...
MOVING We're very likely moving soon, as you know, and I'm looking for any tips that might make the process easier. We're moving about 30 minutes away from where we currently live, so the kids (who turned 2 in March) will have mostly the same routine, go to the same daycare, etc.
How much prep do you think I should do with them? They know we're looking for a house (DS even tells me "I buy you a house, Mommy!"), but they haven't seen the one we have a contract in on. Should we take them there before we move and try to ease them into it? Move all their stuff into their room and let them come "home" to familiar things the first time they see the house? Have them help with moving some of their toys?
I just don't know what the best way to work this is. I think DD will likely just roll with the change, but DS is very attached to our current home (he very frequently asks to "go home" when we are out and about), and I don't know how he'll do with the change. Any and all advice is very much appreciated!
