Max uses it for sleep. We had weaned him off of it but when I weaned him off the boob, back to the pacifier he went. It's on my list of things to do around his 2nd bday. Gotta give it as a gift to the birds outside (which is what my Mom did with me, apparently.)
K stopped right around his first birthday but picked it up again after M was born bc he uses one. Its too hard to explain to him that "nuks" are for babies. We will wean them both in July hopefully.
He gets it for bed and nap and sometimes in the morning on the drive to the train. He loves them and says nuk in his crib when he wants one.
I JUST, like this week, got him down to just sleep times. He still asks for it, but I distract. I'm going to wait and see what the pedi says at his two year check before I decide when to ditch it altogether.

We have only ever used it for the car and crib. I'm planning on breaking the habit next month. DH is leaving for a month, and it's just SO much easier to lay down the law when it's only one parent in charge. I'll break the habit and DH will buy me something pretty for my troubles. Win-win.

We only use it for crib and car. I have no desire to break it now. I am thinking of going to this summer when I'm home with him and I won't mind less sleep.
We primarily use it for sleep and the car. And if she gets really upset like after she gets hurt. Sometimes it's just too easy to give to her instead of a tantrum. I want to break the habit but I'm not ready yet.
We just this week are back to crib and car. He was down to then and then got sick in jan and I gave it back I had planned on completely dropping it at 2 but this has went well so I'll wait a little. At daycare he doesn't have one- even for nap
He's supposed to only have it for sleeping, but he's been extremely cranky lately from teething and sickies, so H has been giving it to him to sooth him. Once these molars finally come in we'll think about weaning him off.
Another car and sleep user here. I am in no hurry to take it away because the new baby is coming and will probably use one, so it seems like bad timing for us to take it away now.
L uses Wubbanubs, too. He has 7 and he needs all 7 cuddled with him when he goes to sleep.
My pedi has never been concerned about paci use. Last summer, he had his well check with the pedi that is the owner of the practice ( practicing for almost 40 years). I used the paci to calm him while we waited in the room and removed it when the doctor came in. He said " no it's ok for him to have it. Maybe start trying to restrict use around 2 to naps and bedtime. Any concern you have over dental issues and a pacifier will correct within 6 months after 2".
He self weaned bottles so I am hoping he self weans his Wubs. I have considered slowly cutting the Soothie off of each animal one by one in hope he will turn it into a "lovie". I tried it with one but it hasn't worked. Lol
I have to use it in the car sometimes too. I can't focus if he is screaming bloody murder.

Natalie just uses her for sleep. She skipped a nap last week and I let her have it that evening, too. She has been biting holes in them and we only have 2 left. Once those are gone, I am planning on just not buying anymore.
Emerson Kate, born 38w5d on 4/6/12 at 6:02 p.m., 5 lbs 13 oz and 18 3/4 inches. Lucas Matthew, born 39w5d on 4/11/14 at 8:20 a.m., 7 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches.
Virginia uses it in the car and when she sleeps. I decided that I don't want to forcibly wean her for another few months....she has just started sleeping better!
C has never taken one, but L was a paci addict. We weaned hers off st 2 years 10 months. I was never super concerned about it. She wouldn't be taking it to college. Her teeth straightened out fine and no concerns from doctor or dentist.
It was a super easy transition, she was old enough to understand about "giving it to santa" and she was ADDICTED.

Kate doesn't use one, but Ella had hers for nap and nighttime until she was three. I felt like it was easier to explain why we were getting rid of it, plus we got her excited about giving it away (she "gave" it to my MIL's new kitten because he was a baby...lol). The only difficult transition was during nap - I had to start laying with her to fall asleep, and I still do.
eta: She definitely had "binky teeth." There's a noticeable difference (for the better) now that she doesn't use one.

Both kids get theirs for nap and bedtime. Linus has already been talked to about the paci fairy and he wants her to bring him Stuffie from Doc McStuffins for all of his pacis. He just switched to his big boy bed so we're getting over that adjustment then will drop them. I think it's going to be hard. He loooooves his pacis and lines them up under his pillow. Fiona isn't as attached, but I don't feel the need to take them away right now. Pedi also said worry about it sometime before 4, so I'll get to it.
We do here, and the soothies that are supposed to be for newborns...she gets them for sleeping and car rides. No real plans to get rid of it yet. Will see what the pedi says next week.
