What did you read to your kid today?

Before bed tonight we read:

The Jungle Book (BabyLit version)
How Do Dinosaurs Love Their Dogs?

The last one is new (to us--got it at a consignment sale) and really cute.

I don't read to the baby yet. Is that awful? I had big plans to read out loud while pregnant, and now I find myself a week from my due date, and I haven't done a bit of that.

Do most people do that?

DS is starting to memorize parts of the book which I find so incredible since he sees so many books.

She got a huge disney book from the library at school. So we are slowly reading through it. Tonight before bed we read a story from Bugs Life and from Cinderella.

Do you not have any consignment shops are used book stores? We get most of our books for one to two bucks.

We take out a ton of books from our library.

Tonight we read Diggers Go, Big Friend Little Friend, Dear Zoo, Quick Duck, and Good Night Moon (only this was before bed).

I got a bunch at the local library book sale when they were thinning their collection. Very cheap, and the money went to a great cause.

During bath, we read Water, Water Everywhere and a Finding Nemo colors book. She loves reading bath books. At bedtime we read Goodnight Moon. We also read the insert from my StrideBox about a million times between dinner and bath.

Ten thousands of them. DD keeps bringing us books to read, but is only patient enough to sit through couple of pages each time.

We read some terrible, totally inappropriate book called Hallow-wiener (about a daschund) before nap and a pop up monster book before bed. Dd1 must be on a Halloween kick. Dd2 refuses to sit through even the shortest of books, so big fat zero for her unless she was listening before nap while chewing on dd1's toys.
