So we had our 20 week scan (at exactly 20 weeks!) yesterday. Everything looks good, the baby was moving around (which was semi-odd because I still can't feel anything) a ton. And I had not wanted to find out the sex, but my H did, so we agreed, if it was obvious, we'd find out, if not, we'd wait and see. Well, apparently he had plans, and right on the first shot, he was legs wide open, and the tech points out the first leg. We both looked at it, looked at each other, then back at the screen, and saw three. We are definitely having a boy, and there is zero question (or modesty on his part!). So we are team blue, apparently. Now we need to figure out a boys name... We had agreed on a girls, but can't seem to come to a consensus about a boys name, lol. It was so exciting, and amazing to see everything. And everything is healthy and going well!
And a question, so yesterday, I was crouched (so maybe 2 feet from the floor) getting a cord from out from behind the couch, my shoe slipped, and I hit the table, then the floor, but solely with my right side. I know I never hit my stomach, but this morning my right arm, right rib area, and right leg are all really sore and bruised. No pain in the stomach area, no spotting or cramping. As I said above, I am not really feeling any movements, so I can't tell if anything is missing/not moving... Would you call or go to the doc? (They don't open for another half an hour, so I am waiting anyway, just curious as to your thoughts.) Thanks and happy Friday!
ETA: So I called, and they said as long as there is no cramping around the stomach or bleeding, I should be fine. If there are any of those symptoms, I should call, and they will get me immediately for a check. Or they could do a check if I am really concerned. She did say that the baby was really well protected, and should be fine. I think since everything, other than my arm/side are fine, I am just going to wait it out. Thanks for all the thoughts!
Congratulations on a great scan and your baby boy! Mine is a week from Monday at 20w6d and I can't wait to see him again. Sorry you got banged up, but it sounds like nothing to worry about.
