I'm worried, because I'm not puking yet. I have been slightly nauseous, but I can't tell if it's because I'm pregnant or because I'm scared of something going wrong. I know I'm borrowing trouble. I'm sure I'll feel a little calmer after my first appointment on 5/15, but that seems so far away. This is going to be a looong 35 weeks....
I'm 7 weeks and sometimes worry because I feel nothing except hungry a lot and tired. But I know it's still early and I don't WANT symptoms. My Dr even seem surprised I haven't felt sick. Maybe we'll be the lucky ones that don't get it

Don't worry. I never puked with either pregnancy, and had very mild nausea with #1, and none with #2. Maybe you're just one of the lucky ones!

Thanks ladies. I think it's partly because everyone keeps telling me how I'm going to be hurling my guts up, and to "just wait". And some of it is shock that I'm actually pregnant, after almost a year of trying on our own and being told that we would likely need assistance, because I'm hypothyroid and have a prolactinoma.

I only puked once this whole pregnancy. Count yourself lucky! Nausea is just as good of an indicator as puking. Are you wanting to nap at noon? Hungry all the time? Boobs sore? Those are just some of the other fun things you can count as good signs you're still pregnant.
This may or may not help and I'm sorry if it upsets you but my last pregnancy which ended up not growing past 6 weeks, I puked constantly. My first appointment was around 10 weeks so even though the fetus stopped growing, I was still feeling the symptoms and never bled. Remember, everyone's pregnancy is different and the best you can do is relax, rest up and try not to worry. hugs!
I never puked in the first trimester when I was pg with DS (it came in the third trimester with brushing teeth and eating certain foods). My second pregnancy ended at 13w4d, but the baby actually stopped growing at 8 weeks. I puked from the day I got my BFP until the day I had surgery to remove everything. I was waking up in the middle of the night to puke. It was bad. This one I never started puking until around 7 weeks. And even then it was not as bad as my second one. So I really don't believe puking is a sign of a good/healthy pregnancy.

Hugs! I haven't puked yet - but I do feel quite nauseous from when I wake up until a while after second breakfast (yes, I'm turning into a hobbit). Also, it's getting a bit worse every day (7.5 weeks now), so who know what the end of first tri will bring

Try not to listen to the 'just wait' comments. They come from a bunch of condescending people who think they know everything and the comments just keep coming. Everyone's pregnancy is different and if you have no other reason to think otherwise, enjoy the fact that you are currently pregnant and are not sick! The same pple who comment just wait about nausea, will then tell you to just wait about how bad labor is, about how you will never sleep because of your newborn (said to you when you are already suffering from insomnia) and no matter what you go through, they will probably tell you to just wait because clearly whatever they have gone through will trump whatever you are currently going through. hmm...apparently I'm a bit over irritated with the 'just wait' comments... sorry for the ranty tangent!

Not everyone gets the pukes. I didn't - with either pregnancy (ok, with this one I did puke once but it was because I was coughing so much, not hormones) - and my 3yr old is fine and my 13ish week old fetus is fine .
Try not to freak out too much, though I get that that's easier said than done.
I've never thrown up and am 30w today. Symptoms are so hard to rely on since each body is so different in how it handles the hormones.
Try to relax and enjoy these early days - it's such an exciting time! easier said than done, I know. Today you are pregnant and that's something to smile about!
Also no puking here. My only consistent symptom so far has been slightly sore boobs, and it was really hard to wait for that first appointment! I feel a little guilty when people ask me how I've been feeling and I honestly tell them "great!" So far the baby is doing just fine, so try to enjoy the feeling (I know, easier said than done).
I never puked. I also never really had the usual symptoms. No fatigue, sore boobs, etc. I felt pretty normal and still do for the most part, except the acid reflux that has kicked in the last month. Symptoms don't always mean anything.
I am totally paranoid too. I didn't start feeling nauseous until around 8-9 weeks and didn't start puking until 11-12 weeks. Even having actuall symptoms, I am still paranoid. Pregnancy is just as big of a mind fuck as TTC was.
I havent thrown up. I was nauseated for about a month, and went through the first week of it going "ugh, must have been that quesadilla I ate." "Oh, probably just that sandwich ..." Until my H was like "you know, you've been saying that about every meal ... It's probably not that." Lol. I think I was in denial that was what morning sickness could feel like.
Apparently nausea in pg has mostly to do with progesterone level spikes. I think with a first pg you get ms a bit later - it's the subsequent ones where you get sick right at 5 weeks or so. It's no fun and really, doesn't mean anything about the baby's state itself, just that hormones suck .
Yeah, I was pretty much symptom free until 6 weeks. Then I was sicker than a dog. Though I was also suffering a really stressful time at work, too, and I honestly believe it made the nausea worse. But like pps said, some people have perfectly healthy pregnancies and never puke.
Being symptom free is a blessing, embrace it! I've been fortunate enough to only have had a couple of weeks of nausea around weeks 7-9 and no actual puking. My boobs were never really sore, and they haven't grown either. The only consistent symptom I had for a while was exhaustion, but I think that was more related to the fact that I spent most of winter inside on the couch, rather than pregnancy. I had a wicked SCH and bled for a month in my first tri, and that combined with no symptoms sent me into a tailspin a few times. Now I'm almost halfway through my pregnancy and I feel great! No symptoms whatsoever except little baby kicks . Hang in there!
