After doing lots of Tula browsing (lol) I much prefer the brighter WC colors and those are muddier. So I like the style and pattern but not the colors.
And I blame you for my first Tula purchase this morning

Just a Toddler Tula in Mint Dots. I wanted to make sure the toddler size fit my DD (2 in January but only 24ish pounds) before dropping a ton of money on a prettier one
Our tula came today! It is sooooo much more comfy than my boba and ergo. And J fits great in the toddler size! Although he wasn't in the mood to be worn, lol.
At your child's size and age, I would recommend using the Standard Tula Carrier. It has a very versatile fit and should be very comfortable for your child for quite some time. We don't recommend using the Toddler Tula until your child reaches at least 32 inches or taller but even at that size, your child would still fit into the Standard Tula at that size. I am attaching a photo of a 2 year old (34 inches, 27lbs.) in a Standard and Toddler Tula, to give you an idea of the fit. He was still comfortable in the Standard Tula but fit in the Toddler Tula.
If you are looking to extend the time that you can use a Standard Tula, I would recommend getting the Free to Grow extenders: www.tulababycarriers.com/products/free-to-grow-converts-into-a-toddler-carrier They widen the "seat" of the Standard to make it more supportive for taller children. The Free to Grow extenders are likely not necessary until about 34 inches.
Thanks! I am leaning towards a Standard because of the resale value too so if I want a toddler eventually I can trade up.

Do you mind sharing how big your DS is? I've worn DS twice in my Ergo in the last week and he just seems to be too big for it (he was 22.5 pounds at his 9m appt.). That combined with the fact that my back was killing me after an hour, I'm interested in something that will be more comfy for him and me.
P.S. He's a cutie! And I LOVE the green and navy chevron.
I'm going to try and score one on Saturday. I'm sure I will fail miserably, but I need to try! Ahhhhhhh!
Me too.
And then there are people on the bst chatter that score like 3 in one go. I'm just ... o.O
I've tried for fun the last 4 stockings and failed. I definitely had other stuff running on my internet though so I'm going to try the whole turn everything off on wifi and then plug directly into my modem. And I need to practice using my touch screen laptop because people said they've had better luck with a touch screen.

Thank you! J was 30" tall and 21lbs 12 oz at his 9 month appt. He's 11 months, 1 week now, so he's definitely gotten taller and bigger, but I'm not sure of his stats now. The toddler Tula bunches a tiny bit behind his knees now, but I didn't want to have to buy two tulas. (of course I'm looking at other patterns now too, LOL). I wore him in my boba this weekend, since my Tula hadn't arrived yet, and I was totally sore afterwards. I wore him in the Tula, and felt like I was carrying air. Such a huge difference!

Do you know if carting it is enough?
Is it one of those situations where even if you cart, it doesn't matter? It's who checks out first?
You need to cart it, then hit check out and then USUALLY its save, but people have still had issues. Hit check out first NOT the paypal screen first.

Thanks for the info - very helpful. Did you order off their website or from somewhere else? I'm thinking a more comfortable carrier would be great for our cruise. Of course I didn't think of this with plenty of time - we leave next Friday.

I ordered from www.carrymeaway.com. I ordered on friday and had it in my hands Monday afternoon. They have great customer service, and make sure you check out their current promotions. www.carrymeaway.com/pages/Baby-Carrier-Discounts.html I was able to add on a rear view mirror and nylon bag for free. (and actually saved a few bucks on the carrier that way too). I paid $165 total for all of that, and they have free 2 day shipping.

Thank you! I think I'm going to order. I'm thinking about just getting the toddler? DS isn't super tall (28.5" at 9m), but definitely has a long torso and short legs. We have a pedi appt. so maybe I'll wait to see how he's measuring. I'm so excited about something more comfortable especially with our vacation coming up. Now to decide which print...love the prepster and I really like the gray chevron too...

My contribution I am about 5'9" and curvy and this is sooooooo much better than the ergo. It's the Toddler Tula. DD is 2 (27 mo), 24ish lbs and 33" and has plenty of room to grow with this. Standard would also work I think for this size.

Order from Abby's Lane. They have a 30 day return period. The issue is that they need to be knee to knee so its not just torso that you need to worry about with the toddler. My almost 6 month old still needs to be propped up with a blanket in the standard and she's at least 26 inches. She has an insane amount of room left in the standard.

Good to know about sizing. And thanks for the tip on Abby's Lane! I may order both just to compare.

I just got an email too and Abby's Lane has double rewards points on Friday and Saturday this week. All you need to do is sign up for an account with them.

I just ordered a toddler Tula from Abby's Lane. So excited! Hoping to get it before our next trip and forgo the stroller at the airport since we'll have one at our destination. I hope DS likes it! But Abby's Lane has a trial period so if he doesn't I'll just return it. Justified!
