"Despite what you have been told, it takes no credentials, no formal education, and no “M.D” behind your name to take an educated stance on this issue – it only takes a brain…and everybody’s got one."
You know what Megan? If you want to call me a hater because I think you spread lies, misinformation, and compromise public health, and because you clearly think credential and formal education are about as meaningful as dog shit, well then go right ahead. I'll sit over here with my legitimately earned Ph.D., demand you call me Dr because I actually earned my title, and judge the ever living hell out of you for spreading lies, misinformation, and compromising public health.
It takes more than a brain, dear. But please. Keep posting. Keep proving that point.

That explains why Megan Heimer lies about being a doctor. She doesn't think the initials/credentials matter.

LOL. I'm dying. Obviously she has no clue what the word "educated" means. It takes no education to take an educated stance!
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Measles are no biggie. Just ask my aunt who is deaf because her mother contracted measles while pregnant.
Chicken pox is also no biggie...unless you're the 0.4% who die from it.
And I'm sure most of us had chicken pox. I remember being so sick. It hurts to move your body in any direction, you itch at the same time you are in pain. Plus the scarring that is left behind.
I wonder if the good Dr.'s parents had her vaccinated?

IDK, I feel like the article dawnzersong posted has a lot of those bases pretty well covered. Or is goal of the rebuttal idea to have another monster thread that can come up as the #1 google hit?
Yeah, that was way too fucking long to read. My eyes glazed over about two paragraphs in.
Go on Dr. Megan Heimer. Keep spreading misinformation and lies and we will keep saying that Megan Heimer spreads misinformation and lies. Plus, it's kinda fun.
"Not gonna lie; I kind of keep expecting you to post one day that you threw down on someone who clearly had no idea that today was NOT THEIR DAY." ~dontcallmeshirley
It's always the one who has no further arguments that relies on the "you're so mean, stop bullying meeee" defense. Poor misinformed Megan Heimer who is not a doctor.

Silly me spending all these years getting a PhD! If only I knew beforehand that formal education doesn't count for anything!
Yeah, I bet you feel pretty stupid right about now, huh? I mean, what a waste. You should have just skipped all that time and work and started calling yourself a doctor.

AND diabetes! I mean, DH was breastfed and he has T1 Diabetes, but that's just a fluke, right? Maybe he needs more breast milk! I'll march right down to the milk bank for premature babies and demand breast milk for my husband.

This is how I feel right now, as I sit in my office where I will be working until 7pm at my unpaid externship. An unpaid externship where I am further developing the skills and knowledge required by law and the licensing boards to be able to legitimately call myself a psychologist.
The past 12 years of schooling and scary student loan debt mean nothing though, so I should just quit, yes? If anyone needs me, I'll be on the corner with my "psychiatric help $5 (inflation, duh)" sign, cuz the doctor is IN!
