I'll be in Tokyo for work. Most meals are arranged, but for one night we get $75/pp for dinner. Where is a good place to go in that range? Looking for something delicious I couldn't get elsewhere.
We want to Ninja Akasaka this evening, and I enjoyed it. The food wasn't the most amazing I've ever had, but it was good, and a few of the dishes were quite unique. It's full of Japanese theme-restaurant kitsch, which can be fun if you go along with it. The set menus start at ¥5500 so you could easily afford the basic set menu and a few drinks. We had the next level up, which was around ¥7000.
It's not a fancy place, but the dishes are inventive, and it's something you probably won't find many other places.
You could go to the restaurant that inspired the Kill Bill fight scene. I quite liked that and it was pretty reasonable. Or try the dinner up at Park Hyatt where Lost In Translation was filmed.
