For some reason I didn't expect this to happen so much, and especially not so soon! At the movies this weekend an employee came walking toward us with a big smile on his face, and said, "Congratulations!" I think we both gave him blank stares until he gestured to my stomach, and I got out a "oh...thanks!" It's been so drilled into me to not comment on a woman's apparent pregnancy that it really caught me off guard. I'm going to be so paranoid now in my post-pregnancy body.

I've gotten a few comments. But not a ton. Though there are times it seems people are looking at me, they just don't say anything. Though, I could be imagining that they are looking.
I don't mind. At least not yet. No one has said anything rude/weird.
On Sunday a lady came to shake my hand and said oh you are getting bigger. I just look fatter lady I do not even look pregnant. I tried to ignore the comment or I would have staretd bawling.
I just had this happen too and I'm almost right with you ngdgtco. On Friday at the mall, a woman shouted "oh, you look so cute. Congratulations!" as I walked past. And then yesterday at the park, I heard a mom telling her toddler, "See that woman? She has a baby growing in her belly!"
I can definitely see a big change in my bump over the past two weeks now that I feel the baby moving regularly. I love looking pregnant and definitely don't mind the comments at all.
I haven't gotten many comments from strangers, but I have resting bitch face. Now that I'm near the end and I'm not wearing bulky winter clothes I am getting more doors held for me and such.

I think this is a big reason I don't mind the comments either (well that and there haven't been any rude ones yet). I'm really enjoying how my body looks these days. I'm trying to enjoy this feeling because I know I may feel differently as I get bigger.
My stomach was always my biggest problem area. And I spent so much time worrying about it, that it's so nice to not worry now. It took me awhile to stop automatically sucking my stomach in. Sometimes I catch myself doing it. It definitely doesn't work these days. lol

I agree with this too (for now at least!), and don't mind them, except for the fact that I'm not used to people commenting on my body. It's definitely nice to see gaining weight as a positive for once!

I got my first last week, and thought it was kind of sweet, lol. Now, I'd be miffed if I weren't pregnant, but since I am... Granted, I'm also 29 weeks. I could see it getting old quickly if it started super early!
i haven't gotten any stranger comments yet except from people who knew i was pregnant by circumstance - the lady who helped us register, the lady at the furniture store when we ordered the crib and glider. i think it's because until recently i've been fairly small. well, my bump has been small, i started out quite a few pounds overweight so the bump has been easy to hide. just this week it's been really sticking out. and, i totally agree that not having to suck my stomach in has been freaking amazing.

Well you're obviously perceiving yourself much differently than the rest of the world! Ppl don't generally shake your gand because you get fat.

I haven't gotten a lot of comments from strangers. It's either because I'm bigger to begin with, so maybe my belly could just be fat? Or my resting bitchface. Most people can see not to mess with me LOL.
This professor whom I've met once commented on my appearance in the cafeteria last week. I was totally taken aback, and I may have inadvertently shot her a death stare LOL.
