I have a question about IP addresses. Forgive me if this was addressed in the other post, I didn't make it through the whole thing. If you have more than one device, do they have different IP addresses? Or is that determined through the router? If they have different IP addresses, then trolls could just use another device to be a troll?
I should know this, my husband is a network engineer.
For most people, their IP is assigned by their ISP when they connect to the internet. So every time you disconnect/restart your modem, you'll get a new IP. And cell phones get a new IP every time you restart them. So yes, most people have multiple IPs.
Every post you make on PB it's associated with an IP address. So even though most people have a bunch of different IPs over time, all of them will be linked together because they all logged in under the same username. And any time you log in under two usernames with the same IP it "links" those accounts, so the admins can look at your profile and see all of your "linked" accounts. You can also link accounts together by creating both of them with the same global username or confirmed email address.
So basically, it's entirely possible that JLM is here still under a new IP, and the only way I would find out is if she logged into one of her old accounts now, with her new IP.
So cross your fingers that she logs in as JLM soon to defend herself! lol

If this was a Full House episode, you guys would be Uncle Jesse and Danny and I would be DJ or some shit.
I learned that pinging is a timing even though I still think it's an annoying word, and I learned about IP addresses, and I was reminded that some people are straight up certifiable.
It's not a waste of time if you're learning, right?
Dovey is clearly a real person. She's also maybe an exaggerate-y drama llama that likes the attention. NOT TOUCHING THE CANCER STUFF WITH A TEN FOOT POLE.
This is how I feel. I don't think Dovey's JLM 2.0 at all, but a lot of the stuff she posts makes my eyebrows rise straight into my hairline. I'm not doubting her medical issues but I basically take everything she says with a grain - nay, a boulder- of salt.
Re: dovey: she has not actually been diagnosed with cancer. She has a brain tumor, which could be benign. When I asked about it she said so something like "any tumor is called cancer."
Ok, I remember this exchange specifically as something that made me go huhhhhh? It seemed super strange to me that doctors would call something cancer when they haven't even tested for cancer yet. But I am not at all an expert on anything cancer related, so I admit I could very well be the one in the wrong on this.
I think cancer is any kind of cell that is errant in the body. My doc said I would technically have cancer if I had this blood disorder, even if it didn't cause tumors as it normally does.
Well, I think that no one really wants to hear it and everyone has better things to read about today. No matter what I say though I don't think your opinion of me will change.
Ok I'll be honest re @dovey1122 and that 's why I'm tagging her.
I obviously have extra sensitivity when it comes to the big C. What I think it's happening here and please dovey come and set us straight; is as follows.
A tumor is that until a biopsy has confirmed if it is benign or not. Doctors may have thrown the word cancer but many at careful not to say it until the biopsy comes back even if they are 85% sure it is cancer ( it happened to my mom)
So yes Dovey is definitely sick and has a lot of issues other than that. She probably is alone and lonely and in need of help. So using the word cancer is advantageous when you are describing how everyone is not helping you or making you feel like you're crazy.
Things like "so you go see your little daughter instead of coming to see the daughter dealing with BRAIN CANCER all by herself!" are more powerful than "the daughter that is waiting for brain surgery to figure out what is wrong with her head and why she has been acting so emotional lately"
Ok CONFESSION (right) even I do exaggerate or chose my words carefully when I'm fundraising. It doesn't make it less true but I wouldn't always put it the same way.
Well, I think that no one really wants to hear it and everyone has better things to read about today. No matter what I say though I don't think your opinion of me will change.

That is not a damn answer.
THIS IS A YES OR NO QUESTION.
The translation is "I'm still a homophobe but I don't want to be remembered for that."

To be fair she did say she hollered to the doctor that it is a "REAL BRAIN TUMOR!!" without using the word 'cancer'.

"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

There is a very clear difference between malignant and non-malignant tumors. One is cancerous, and one is benign (non-cancerous).

Well that vey clear difference won't be so clear for a while, in the mean time, I don't fault the girl for saying cancer...she is scared.

Well yes, it must be biopsied and I guaran-damn-tee you I'm not claiming to have cancer until I'm told "YOU HAVE CANCER". I've been through that before, while pregnant, and I never told anyone I had cancer.
Wait, so is soozy denying she's gothchick? GC once pm'd me and asked if I would be her online therapist. I no longer feel bad about sharing that. Obvs I said no. Lol
I am denying that I am gothchick. I have 2 AEs one with 30 some posts and another with 0. Ellie can confirm this. I haven't used either of them in a long time.
