Am I the only freak who cuts up sandwiches?

I still cut V's sandwiches into bite sized squares. I get so nervous she will take bites that are too big.

My child will shovel 4 pieces in at once if they're cut small but will take a normal bite if I just cut it into quarters. But my kid is strange

M doesnt understand sandwiches. She'll eat a PB&J just fine but a ham & cheese, she disassembles and shoves all of the ham in her mouth first, then all of the cheese, then the bread.

For school, I roll up 3 peices of ham adn cut it in half. Then I cut up cheese into sticks and lastly cut up the bread into little sticks. Shes still eating the contents of the sandwich, just not all together.

My nanny just made a PBJ for her and didn't cut it up and I was like "oh no! you MUST cut it!" and then I felt like a total freak.

I quarter or third them for even the 4 year old. It's just easier.

The only sandwich they will eat is grilled cheese though.

We have this Elmo shaped sandwich cutter, so I use that. She's good about eating it whole.

I don't cut bagels though. But those are hard not to take tiny bites, i guess.

I cut it in quarters but with any sandwich she takes it apart and eats everything separately. She does this with grilled cheese, everything.

This exactly! Tiny pieces is just an invitation to shove them all in at once, but he is a pretty good bite taker. He only eats pb and j and grilled cheese for the most part.  I usually cut into quarters so that it is easier to hold.

I still cut into bite size pieces. Evan doesn't get sandwiches either, he will eat the parts separately.

I do, but it doesn't matter. My kid seriously shoves fistfuls of food into her mouth and causes herself to choke on a regular basis. We encourage her to take "nibbles" but that never lasts long. If I cut the food too small, she'll grab a handful, so I usually just cut a sancwich into quarters and hope for the best.

What about pizza and burgers, do you all cut those too? I just let her have at it. I cut grapes and cherry tomatoes and that's pretty much it.

I cut pizza and burgers too. Although when she has burgers I don't give her the bread, I just cut up the patty.

M does not eat sandwiches. She will not touch pb & j or grilled cheese...what is wrong w/her? She will eat a deconstructed turkey sandwich, and it is not cut up.
