Based on this month's meteorological unpredictability, I think brunch or another meal/indoor activity might actually be a better idea than going to Kimball Farm. I glanced at the weather report and it looks like we will have rain intermittently during the next couple weeks and I would hate to plan a GTG outside and have to cancel/change plans at the last minute due to weather conditions. Is everyone okay with that?
Good call. I believe Neighborhood Restaurant's outdoor patio is covered but I could be wrong (invoking liveintheville's knowledge again). If not, I guess we're headed to the winery since Neighborhood is way too small to accommodate a sizeable group inside.
Sounds good. I know we have a few pregnant ladies coming so hopefully they wouldn't mind going to a winery. We can also find a different restaurant in Boston.
I just checked out the website and it looks like the restaurant at the winery won't take a reservation on a Saturday. If people want to just sample wine or beer I am always up for that. Maybe we could save this for another time, like for PYO fruit?
I am up for a restaurant closer to all of you. I would be driving in so would prefer somewhere with parking.
Let's do another restaurant in the city, then. I think that would be the most satisfactory option for most people. I think a couple people mentioned they wouldn't be available earlier in the day. How does dinner sound so we can better accommodate the group?

It's semi covered. There are grape vines over head and most of the tables have umbrellas. If you go I can swing by and wave!

Oh and I was right. They're getting the patio ready to open Mother's day. I've seen them repainting the tables and setting stuff up. Plus I ran into Sheila, the owner, at the park the other day. We really live in a small community here in Union
The GTG is only a little over a week away! Does anyone have suggestions for a good restaurant for us?
Sorry, I've been crazed, I'll try to think of something!
No need to apologize. Thank you! I tried thinking of places, but I'm still not familiar enough with Boston to recommend a good place with room for a group, adequate parking, and T access.
Guys, if we're doing dinner this Saturday I think I'm going to have to bail. If we stick with brunch, I should still be able to do it. Not sure of where to suggest if the latter as most of my usual places tend to be pretty small. And it looks like it will likely rain this weekend so no outdoor seating makes it even harder.
Let's have a meal earlier in the day, then. It would be easier for me anyway. Do you have any suggestions for lunch versus brunch? I tried researching some places, but it's hard to get a good sense of them just from online reviews.

Cabot's or Friendly Toast works for me. I'll probably be driving in, so parking is a plus. I can pick up/drop off people at the commuter rail station if anyone wants a ride.
Also melmel48 may be joining us, we will probably be driving in together from the North Shore area if anyone wants a ride.

I can't think of anything I am doing on Saturday! I hope I can go
I am in for brunch or dinner. Cabot would work great for me:) Another brunch place that takes reservations is Farmstead Table in Newton Centre, that is across the street from the green line stop is people want something accessible on the T.

Farmstead Table looks really cute. Is there adequate parking in the area?
What time would everyone like to meet? 11 am? Noon?
11am would be great for me. les, Farmstead is in the same area as the little...was it Thai?...restaurant we went to that one time and you got on the T afterwards.
Oh, right. Your memory is better than mine! That area seemed to work well last time and I like that Farmstead takes reservations. It looks like the nearby Chestnut Hill station has parking spaces for $6/day in case anyone else is driving in and doesn't want to deal with looking for parking in the immediate area.
Does anyone object to 11 at Farmstead? I can make a reservation once I know how many people are coming.
