The girls lawyer is coming by for a home visit this morning because she wants to see how Ava eats here at home. I hope Ava refuses food in front of her, or even vomits so that she can see we aren't starving her. I don't wish bad on Ava but it's hard to have people believe me when Ava is one way at home and another when she is around people.
CT, I can get her not eating on video but catching her vomiting is hard, it happens so suddenly.
Duchess, thank you for understanding, this is HARD.
Ava refused food and Pediasure in front of the lawyer but saved the vomiting for after the lawyer left. She ate 2 spoonfuls of food, 10 blueberries and a few sips of Pediasure before sealing her mouth shut to anything else. After I walked the lawyer out I got Ava down and we went to the bathroom to run a bath, I turned around and saw that she was trying to force food up, she threw up a little and then shoved her fingers in her mouth and got it all to come up.
I am scared for her and don't know how to help her, I am starting to doubt myself as her parent.
Has Regional Center approved her for OT and feeding therapy yet? Does she vomit if she only ingests liquids? I can ask our OT for some help if you are still waiting.

RC hasn't even seen her yet, they are waiting for the adoption worker to return the approval paperwork. The SART OT said she will need OT for sure but I am waiting for them to call me with their findings and plan.
Yes, she does vomit with liquids only as well. She doesn't vomit with every meal, it seems to be a control thing but it is getting more frequent. I see a gtube in our future if something doesn't change.
