My face with DD was bad when pregnant and then absolutely 100% horrible while nursing. I was so embarrassed and couldn't take anything because of the nursing. It never really recovered. It got better after nursing was over, but I still had a few pimples on my face at any given time.
Ever since I got my BFP this time my face has slowly gotten better and for the fast few weeks it has been blemish free for the first time in over 4 years!!! (high5) I'm wondering if I can count on it staying this way throughout the pregnancy, but I a really scared that it will go back to how bad it was when I was nursing DD.
Especially those with 2+ kids, did each pregnancy effect your face differently?

I'm pregnant with #2 right now and have had two very different experiences. My skin was glowy and clear with DS and this time I'm very broken out much of the time. I'm kind of bummed about it, I very much enjoyed my clear skin the first time around!

Piling another anectdote onto the old wives tale.
My skin was like that of a hormonal 15 year old with my first pregnancy (girl). It got so nice and clear with my second pregnancy (boy). I wish it had stayed that way...I'm somewhere in betweeen now
lol zarapipe I am the complete opposite I am scared to death of having a girl! My first has been a handful since birth so I'm hoping I catch a break the 2nd time around!!

My skin has always been crappy. The only time it was clear was when I was on ortho tri cyclen. For both pregnancies, it has been pretty good (for me), but not perfect. My skin is always a little better in the summer as well, so I'm looking forward to that. Mostly, I just don't care anymore.
Mine got clearer both times, but the OWT is that boys make your skin clearer and girls trash it all to hell.
I thought it was the other way around due to boys hormones? I was team green and my OB joked when I asked about my acne one day that she was positive I was having a boy because they wreck your skin.... she was right!
This past pg, it was horrible during the first tri, a little better during the second, and then amazingly clear during the third tri and first 3 months pp. Now at 4 months pp, it is less clear. This was with a boy. With DD I think it was pretty bad the whole way thru.
I can relate to having a blemish free (or almost) during this pg. If I am not pg I break out like a hormonal teenagers. Maybe we just get better with age.

I had bad acne during my entire first pregnancy. I broke out a little during the first trimester, but my skin has been looking pretty good lately. My first pregnancy was a girl and this pregnancy is a boy. Don't they say something about girls stealing your beauty?
zarapipe make sure you stay out of all the penis threads. These posters and their stories about boys being obsessed with their junk or peeing in their mouths has freaked me out. Lol
