Has anyone else had issues with their Fisher Price swing? We've been using it for five weeks, not on a daily basis, and the motor already seems to be having issues. The swing barely moves, regardless of the setting we use.
Going to contact CS, but I'm surprised that this would be happening with a company as well established as FP.
Following this.. today I used the snugapuppy swing and it seemed slower than I think it should go. I haven't used it much yet so I could be wrong about how fast it is supposed to go.

My FP swing is crap. It takes forever to "rev" up and isn't that fast. Someone gave me a really cheap bright starts one and it beats the $149 FP one hands down. So annoyed.
We used the snuggabunny swing with my son and it was a godsend until about 4 months. The rocker motions got slower and slower. He was pretty over it by that time so I never called about it but it was pretty annoying. I have heard of other motor issues with their swings in the past as well. But I have also heard that their customer service is really great so they should get you set up with a new one!
Mine did this, I didn't know that you were supposed to "swing" it manually before turning it on. They sent a new motor anyway.
Hmmmm, have I been doing this? In my sleep deprived stupor I may be forgetting. Will have to check. I'm pisses that this would be happening already, but maybe it's just user error. Whoops.
I had a FP swing for DD2 who is 18 months.. It did this and I called and had to mail them the motor and was then mailed a check to cover the replacement costs.
My Snugabunny died after a few months of use, dead motor. We had purchased it at a consignment sale for $50, so called it a loss.
Bought a new Snugapuppy (Jesus, how many animals can they Snuga?), and the motor already sounds...off. Like it works really hard for a minute or so to get going. We do swing it first to get it going, but it still makes this grinding noise, and sometimes does it mid-nap, which often wakes him (grrr). We should probably take it back, but we're lazy.
We have the snug a bunny swing. The motor seemed to be dying so I called customer service. They sent me a whole new swing! I didn't have to send anything back. It arrived in less than a week.
We were using one that was four years old and it was doing exactly what you are describing. We just bought a new motor for it. But it sometimes does the same thing. I'm now wondering if it is user error. But DS rarely uses it now so I'll wait to see what happens with mythical child #2.

DS practically lived in our Snugabunny swing for months, and the motor died when he was around 9 months old. We called FP, and they asked a few questions, and sent a new one. We had to send our old one back, but it wasn't a big deal.
Definitely get it swinging when you turn it on or you'll burn the motor out! I just set ours up but i only have 3 D batteries on hand so I am crossing my fingers it still works well!
