I'm sorry you're having a bad experience. I HATE needles, and the first time I went to a lab corp I was the interesting character in the waiting room. I was on the floor in hysterical tears I was so scared. Luckily, my fear is better now. I do tell them that I need to lay down, and they usually will give me a better person because of this.

It's just an uncomfortable place. The walls are painted plain white, but they aren't white any more. The floor is a dirty is ancient. So the waiting room has this really industrial feel. The staff acts like you're there just to ruin their day. And today was really busy so it was packed. IDK, first world problems, I guess, but it's a stark contrast to my doctor's waiting room that is warm, cozy, and comfy with a nice staff.
There was a mother with her three kids (middle school aged i think) and her one daughter came out white as a ghost and said "I don't feel well, my head hurts". Poor thing really freaked out and was about two seconds from dropping. I told her mom to get her some candy or something like a lolly pop. I use to work in a dermatologist's office and would see people drop all the time, even 10 minutes after having a small procedure done.
Oh! And I'm always nervous around some of the pantomimists. Part of me always wonders how long they've been doing this. The guy I had today was AWESOME and so nice. At least I walked out in a pleasant mood.

Glad it's over and you ended up with a good experience! Poor girl - I passed out after getting my kindergarten shots, and my mom has been super paranoid since then about me getting blood work or shots. So now I'm super afraid of everything! Luckily DH is calm, reassuring, and actually making me do these things (I have to get a mole removed at the beginning of 2nd tri and I'm not looking forward to the numbing shot).
I've had A LOT of blood draws with my RE but luckily I know the nurses by now. I fear when I go to my OB because I know those nurses don't do as good of a job.
When I was going through IF treatments I was getting drained all the time! I kept joking that I was going to get track marks. So I'm much better about my fears of needles. But the Dr. I went to did the draws in the office and so I didn't have to go to LabCorp. But my OB sends us out. If I had to go to LabCorp for every IF blood draw, I would have not survived!

I think it must be a LapCorp thing because they were awful when we used to live in Columbus. I actually like getting my blood drawn at the local hospital. The last time I went I had to bring DD with me and they gave her gloves and a mask which she thought was the coolest thing ever.

Yeah, I had a bit of a Maury Moment when I went to get my first round of thyroid labs done at lab corp. This lady and her daughter were before me in line, and even after she left the waiting room, I could hear her complaining about having to get another DNA test done on her daughter, because the father had never paid child support and the girl was about to turn 9.
