Love my oxo one, but it is big. I store it in my wok in the cabinet and then in the fridge when it is holding lettuce. It's kind of a PITA to hand wash but also it doesn't really get dirty.
I have the OXO one and I like it. I wash the greens in the basket, drop it into the bowl, and spin. I also like that it has a brake. Doing short spins and then braking a few times in rapid succession seems to dry the greens super fast.
However, I only use it for smaller greens like baby greens, baby spinach, etc. Larger greens like kale, collards, even whole romaine, don't fit and I end up washing them in my over-the-sink colander.

I have the oxo stainless steel one. I love it. I don't know if the stainless steel is necessary over the cheaper version but we got it as a gift. I swear my lettuce will last days longer (a week usually?) when I wash it and use the spinner because I can get it so dry. I love doing it that way so it is easy to toss together a salad for lunch.

Alright, I was sold until the space issue kept coming up. We have a small house, and an even smaller (old, outdated) kitchen. THAT addition will be years from now.
So has anyone solved the space issue? The other thing he wants is also a kitchen item, so I'll have to store the 16 qt stock pot AND this spinner. I already planned to put other pots and pans in the stock pot. Don't get all excited that I have a place for the spinner:)
I have a big Oxo one and love it! It is big, but it works really well!
We love ours as well. They also have awesome customer service. We had ours for years and broke a part of the lid. We called to see if we could just order a replacement part and they sent us a brand new one, no questions asked.
