I personally find myself drawn to it, I feel like it has more character than like, subway tiles, but isn't crazy either. And i really like it more than anything else ive seen. But I'm also completely oblivious to what styles belong in what houses, and mine is a ranch home( I think thats what it's called), so I'd love some opinions
...Speaking of dated, my childhood home was built in 1966. It had that tile in that same shade of blue all over the master bath - floor, walls, shower.

 haha. So I guess it's back in after 45 years? So if I keep my house that long, I should be ok ;D Does everything date after awhile? I have no plans on selling this house (to be, and yes, cart before horse hah)
I love it! I was thinking of using something similar fo our kitchen backsplash when we redo our counter tops and I rip out the travertine tile that we have now. I think most things become dated eventually with the exception of some classic elements (crown molding, hardwood floors).
I love it. I think of it as a classic style, but I have lived with Mediterranean influences around me my entire life, so that could color my perspective.
I've seen it for a while on GardenWebs and love the Arabesque tile but we ultimately passed. It's rather pricey for something that is so distinctive and will, unfortunately, look dated.
That said, if you plan to move in a few years, I'd go with it. We installed very dark hardwoods knowing that they'd likely start to look dated in a few years. We'll be moving before they are likely to be "out," though, and I love 'em.

This. It was very popular in the mid-60's. Early on it was the bright pastels as shown here and then trended into the earhtier colors. My mother had a "burnt orange" accent wall in her kitchen.
