Etta James - At Last. Because our love is classic. Second marriages, older people. My husband's smile could light up a room so that line 'you smiled and then the spell was cast' sealed if for me and my husband spent his whole life looking for true, romantic love. I think the song should just speak to you.
So, what was your first dance song at your wedding? Feels like home Why did you choose that song? I was struggling to find a song and prayed about it. I watched How to Loose a Guy in 10 Days (one of my fav movies) and it played toward the end. I looked it up and started crying and knew it was it. Bonus q: Did you have a DJ or a band?DJ

We chose "At Last" by Ella Fitzgerald. It seemed fitting since I was 35 and DH was 41 when we got married. We didn't have a DJ or a band, but rather a playlist on a iPod
Expect a bunch of these from me over the next 6-8 months, lol.

1) You Are The Best Thing - Ray LaMontagne 2) I liked it, it was a little non-traditional, and I always rocked out in my chair when it was on 3) DJ
ETA: My second chocie would have been "No One Will Ever Love You" from the Nashville Soundrack, but even though I thought it was beautiful, the husband would have found it entirely too dark.
Come What Mayfrom the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. No particular reason besides that we liked it. DH picked it, actually. We had a DJ.
As I mentioned in the song thread the other day, I think John Legend's All of Me is going to get tons of wedding play this year.
I finally listened to All of Me and I think I agree! It's a beautiful song, but maybe a little long. Everyone says it's one of the longest 3-4 minutes of your life.
Also I watched the video and goddamn I forgot John Legend is such a beautiful man. (devil)
OMG I can't believe I can't remember mine. It was by Elvis. I thought reading through 5 pages would spark a memory, but I just can't remember it. This makes me sad.
I remember the other songs we chose, like: wedding party intro - lets get married (that 90s rap song, meet me at the alter) our intro - American Girl by Tom Petty mother son dance - How sweet it is father daughter dance - My girl bouquet toss - theme song to sex & the city garter removal - under pressure garter toss - theme song to entourage
We did a DJ, it was gifted to us by one of our DJ friends, score!
Edit: Got it, wikipedia'd Elvis songs: I can't help falling in love with you

Crazy Love by Van Morrison
i wanted something irish since we were married on St Patrick's Day. U2 (my favorite band) was out of the question simply bc there was nothing REMOTELY 1st dance worthy.
