1. Positives from your week? I've had a pretty good week blood sugars wise.
2. Negatives from your week? I've pretty much stopped walking after meals. I need to pick that back up.
3. Any recipes/food ideas you want to share? (I'll put this question in each check-in, as I'm sure a lot of us are always looking for new ideas).
4. What is your favorite piece of maternity clothing? Dresses are my favorite. They were when I wasn't pregnant too. They are just so easy to wear. Nothing constrictive
1. Positives from your week? I survived Easter with all 4 good numbers!!! I was so worried because eating times are messed up, and the food is so good and horrible for me at the same time. What I ended up doing was swapping my morning and afternoon snacks and meals. It worked out and I was even able to indulge in one of DH's aunt's amazing frosted sugar cookies.
2. Negatives from your week? I made a mistake ordering a flavored iced tea from Sonic on Saturday. It said the flavoring I ordered was made with Splenda, but it gave me a freaking 158 2 hours after my meal!!!! I guess I learned my lesson. Dr. was nice about it today thank god.
3. Any recipes/food ideas you want to share? (I'll put this question in each check-in, as I'm sure a lot of us are always looking for new ideas). Last night I made enchiladas (which turned in to stacked enchiladas when I was having trouble getting them to roll up), and OMG it was so good. Thankfully I love Mexican food and seem to tolerate it well. I browned 1lb of ground beef and added a can of chopped green chiles. I used white corn tortillas, La Preferida red enchilada sauce, lots of sharp cheddar cheese and cilantro and baked at 350 for about 25 mintues. I paired it with some leftover roasted broccoli and a salad with ranch, and got a 103 2 hours after. I will definitely be making this again. I ate leftovers for lunch today and it was still so good!
4. What is your favorite piece of maternity clothing? Right now my favorite thing is a short sleeve v neck tee from JC Penney. The v neck isn't low cut, and the fit is awesome. It's really hard to find plus size maternity clothing, especially cute stuff. I am expecting deliveries from Target, Old Navy and Motherhood this week and hope that a lot of what I ordered works because right now I have no shorts or crops that are maternity for the spring/summer. I can only wear rolled up leggings so many times!
1. Positives from your week? I think I finally found a gentle exfoliator for my face that doesn't include salicylic acid or other ingredients that I should avoid. It is supposed to get delivered tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that because my skin is looking bad bad bad
2. Negatives from your week? I'm still struggling with eating healthier. I feel so bleh still (I'm almost 11 weeks) and a lot of things just don't sound good. I've basically just been eating what sounds good, ,but unfortunately that isn't the healthiest sometimes.
3. Any recipes/food ideas you want to share? (I'll put this question in each check-in, as I'm sure a lot of us are always looking for new ideas). I have still been eating Hard Boiled Eggs with hummus for a snack, and I really enjoy it still. I basically cut them in half, remove the yolk, and then fill them with hummus. So they look like a deviled egg, but healthier
4. What is your favorite piece of maternity clothing? I've been wearing LOFT Maternity jeans because my other jeans got too tight in the waist, and I really like them so far. I also purchased some Liz Lange tank tops from Target that I am liking too, they're a great length
