Do you guys like this for a late afternoon wedding on the beach? The groomsmen are wearing khaki pants and white button-downs, no shoes. I'm kind of in love with it, though I haven't tried it on yet. If you do like it, would it be a bitch to hem? I don't mind spending some money for a tailor to take care of it since the dress isn't pricey, but I know it's going to be too long on me.
I think the high-low is going to look dated pretty shortly. If not looking dated is important to you, then I'd pick something else. Eventually everything looks a little dated, though, so it's not like the #1 priority.

I know it is really popular but the high-low hemline is not my favorite in general. I really like the color of the dress but think you could do better.

I'm not getting married. DH is in the wedding, which is why I mentioned the groomsmen. Our close friends are getting married.
iamali, I would love that! I don't care much about color, but I tend to stick to blues and greens, sometimes coral, but definitely not anything too bright (yellow, orange, pink, etc.). I am a small, size 4, depending on what you're looking at. I'd prefer to spend under $200, closer to $100 would be better, but we have another wedding in September that I can wear it for, so I don't mind if it's on the higher side.
RoxMonster, I think you're on the right track, but the neckline isn't very appealing to me for whatever reason. Maybe it would be better with the right jewelry.
iamali, I like those! I'm going to look at Anthro a bit more. I think the Boden one is super cute, but I'm afraid it will cut me off at the legs and make me look even shorter than I am. These are good ideas though. Thanks!
eta: More than I wanted to spend, but what do you think of this?
