Have you checked specialty wedding retailers? I would think any child would have a massive meltdown wearing heavy fabric at an outdoor wedding.
It has been a long time since I've looked for wedding wear, but try JCrew (CrewCuts), David's Bridal and maybe some kids' brands like Janie & Jack, Gymboree, MiniBoden, Tea Collection (although I think their stuff tends to be more casual)...

Personally, I would turn down having anything that wears a 2T in a wedding. My friends son was in a wedding recently, and she got him a cute suit at Burlington Coat factory.

I like the Amazon link that someone posted. Tell her that is what he is wearing and tell her to stuff it, lol. Seriously, an outdoor wedding in Boston in July and a 2-year old as the ring bearer. She needs to have some sense knocked into her

Zulily has formal toddler clothes pretty often. If they don't have anything now, keep checking. I got an outfit for my son for a summer wedding last year on there. Its not charcoal grey, unfortunately.

Is it breathable and ok for 80-90 degree outside weather?
Can you tell I fucking hate this wedding already?
The Burlington Stores here sell some cotton summer suits, you could call them. Dressing up for church is big in some communities around here and even littles wear a full suit. I would get him a short sleeve button down, then only put the jacket on at the last minute.
dD is in a wedding in a few weeks. I had to order the dress from England. All fine and good, don't mind doing that, but I am terrified it won't fit. At least she is 7 and old enough to understand the importance of her job. I thank my Sister in law for refusing to have her 3 year old be my flower girl. I would have been fine, no matter how she had acted, but many brides would be mad if the kid isn't a trained monkey.
Check JCPenney and Sears. I get suits for my boys there for holidays. DS1 wore a gray pin-striped vest & pants with a dress shirt and tie for Easter. It was adorable! They're usually around $20 & always on sale. I'm guessing Bridezilla will not approve of pin-stripe, but maybe they have others. I think Walmart even had some for Easter...but don't tell her if you find something from Walmart!
And OMG why is your sister getting married outside in Boston in July? I mean I know it's her wedding and all, but everyone is going to be miserable.
That looks amazing. I will link and see what she has to say.
Hold please.
(And I have no idea. She originally wanted to wear this to her wedding:
She apparently has no idea. I mean she knows it's hot in Boston. She's lived there for 5 years now. But somehow, she's in some weird bridezilla bubble where nothing will be bad for her.
I was scrolling down, thinking "that's a really pretty dress...and then I got to the huge poof at the bottom. WTF.
The suit from Amazon ssmjlm posted is adorable, I'm glad your sister approved of it. High five ssmjlm, good find! (high5)
